I was in town for a major youth sports tournament, and a lot of the hotels in the downtown area were fully booked. Trying to stay cost conscious, I picked the TownePlace Suites Edmonton South due to price, and since I had a car rental, distance wasn't a big deal for me. I checked-in via the app. When I arrived at check-in, Karan helped me and he was super friendly. He checked my ID and processed by credit card, and told me about all the amenities. I've stayed at a number of TownePlace Suites in other cities, and this one wasn't any different. Room was pretty standard. It was fairly large, and clean, as was the washroom. Beds were average. Had no issues with WiFi. Kitchen was helpful for saving money, but I noted it had a lot less utensils and dinnerware than most TownePlace Suites I've visited. However, I would imagine they could lend more if needed. The room is near a major highway intersection, so definitely lots of road noise, so ear plugs are recommended for light sleepers. I also felt the hallway lights seemed very weak, so it always seemed darker than it should be. I did use the gym a few times. It was small with 2 treadmills, one elliptical and one sitting bike. Also two benches with free weights. It was never busy. The pool was a decent size and much more popular. Breakfast is what I expect from a TownePlace with two hot foods (generally a meat and an egg dish), breads, bagels, oatmeal, waffles and cereals. Also some fresh fruit, yogurt, and hard boiled eggs. Enough to start the day. There are a few eating spots across the street, but otherwise not a lot in the area within walking distance. Checkout was easy, and was very happy with the extra help and assistance from Madisen regarding a billing issue. She was fantastic. I was happy with my stay. Very reasonable for the price I paid, and got what I expect from a TownePlace.

Been studying for 6th day consecutively, the internet is so bad. After every 15 min it gets disconnected. Complained to the FO but they give me a number that’s supposed to be an IT number who can help me. That’s so upsetting. I had to leave hotel to conduct my Teams meetings as the internet is so bad. This is the worst experience in all the Marriott properties that I have stayed.

We booked a two bedroom room suite plus pullout couch for an overnight stay with family. Worked out great for us. Everyone had their own comfortable space plus TV. Only downside was the very small bathroom. The kitchen had all the amenities including a big fridge. The pool and hot tub were great. The buffet breakfast provided was fine. Would stay her again especially when travelling with family

I stay at this hotel mainly because of Tanama's service she is exceptional always accomodate me and considerate. The shower is exceptional and they provide you with enough shower gel and conditioner enough for a good shower not the small regular bottles. Parking is always available and the area is safe easy access to the highway.

Not clean at all!

We booked two suites, and both were filthy. They both had kitchenettes, and although we weren’t using the kitchens during our stay, there was food caked on the stove top, and all the dishware that they supplied had caked on food and appeared to never have been washed. Our shower had physical mould around the caulking area. The pillows were so flat. I couldn’t tell them apart from the flat sheet they supplied. The iron had cheese on it as if someone made a grilled cheese with it! They offer a refresh on the second day which never happened. We stopped at the front desk on our way out to ask them to do a refresh. They promised us that they would and it was never done. I have never stayed in the hotel where they don’t pick up dirty towels for the entire state you’re there. We were there for four days and no Cleaning was done during that time. The inside of the fridge that they provided had caked on juice and food, and it was not cleaned. I took photos just to prove everything that I’ve stated in this review
