Phew! What a weekend. We came in on a Friday night to stay for a concert one night, and the city water outage caused it to be rescheduled until Sunday. We booked a room for Saturday and it was double what I paid on Friday… I know it’s Saturday but still price gouging with no water? When the water finally came on Sunday morning, our shower didn’t work correctly and we had to ask a few times to get extended checkouts because maintenance couldn’t figure it out. Another bummer with the hotel was there was no microwave? That usually wouldn’t be an issue, but without the surrounding restaurants open it really made things hard for us. I understand the hotel didn’t cause the water issues but the lack of empathy was really shocking! This whole review would probably have a different connotation if we were offered points, the parking to be wavered, or even complimentary snacks!

I had the worst experience The Westin Peachtree Plaza, Atlanta Marriott Bonvoy the fact that I stayed at this property Thursday May 30th until June 2, 2024 and had no water is unacceptable. We had been without water from 10am on Friday morning virtually until Sunday morning. The few hours that they had turned the water back on, the hotel didn't notify us or make any provisions to ensure that we could take showers or use the restroom during that time. I received no emails, no text messages and the notices that placed under the door were often placed late or no at all until it the information was no longer relevant. The General Manager was not on property, the Security and others were walking around with no information. At one point we asked an Associate was the water on, and they replied no but wasn't educated enough on anything. Then on top of everything else going wrong. They checked someone else into my room. We had been checked in since Thursday, so our room shouldn't have even been in the system as an unoccupied room, however they sent someone to our room. This is scary, and couldn't have gone so wrong. Luckily as the person approached the door, I could hear them and they could hear me and when I opened the door they were standing there with a key to my room. THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN. This made us uncomfortable, and question exactly what the front desk agent was doing. I understand that the they may have been overwhelmed but this is unacceptable. Do you think that once the Security learned of the incident if they came to our room to check on us, apologize or make sure we felt safe? No they didn't, it wasn't until I went downstairs to complain that they event acknowledged the incident. When I asked to speak with a manager I waited for almost 20 minutes to speak with someone, and then when pressed about it, the best she could do was compensate me for 1 night. With everything else going on did she think was enough. We also learned that they were sending other guest to sister properties that did have running water, yet we weren't once asked if we wished to do that. In fact we heard nothing about it until it was no longer an option. But they were quick to say you check out or cancel with no penalties. Well of of course we could, but where was I supposed to go, visiting from California for a huge event, already out of hundreds of dollars for the event and then on top of that the water pipe burst made this a horrible stay. They didn't even offer to reimburse for the City taxes since they kept reiterating that this was a City issue. The declared a state of emergency yet the hotel offered bottled water and 1 restroom on the 8th floor for hundreds of guest to use. What about porta potty options. We couldn't eat anywhere in the area and they were still selling food. The nerve! Then when I called and filed a formal complaint they offered me 15k in points. I am insulted as a Platinum Elite member and former Marriott Associate I know they can and should do better. I will never stay at another Marriott property in Atlanta again, and I have 4 other trips coming up and I am strongly considering moving my money to Hilton or Hyatt after the way I was treated. Marriott do better!

Needs upgrading and more staff. The room we stayed in had furniture that needed to be replaced, torn carpet, and stained ceilings - not what you expect from Westin/Marriott properties. Took 45 minutes to check in due to the long line and apparent staffing issues. And, in the morning, if you want a cup of coffee from the Starbucks in the lobby, plan on waiting 30 minutes in that line as well. Would not recommend staying here.

I was excited to visit this hotel since I found the location perfect and the price right. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed with my room, which felt worn out and had a slight odor. You get what you pay for, so I didn't complain at checkout. People should expect enough comfort for a quick stay only.

My wife booked this stay for monster jam with our young kid since all the hotels near monster jam were a similar price. The idea was that being in the middle of the city with restaurants nearby would be nice. I was looking at some of the reviews beforehand and was curious what I’d see with seemingly lots of great reviews and several negative. My take after staying there a night is that it meets expectations and is fine/good. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the check-in receptionist friendly, shower nice, etc. For the price/location, I think overall it’s pretty fair. Keep in mind the valet parking was another $60, but I can kind of see why with all the valets they had running back and forth. Breakfast was fine/good, not great. I will say relating to something that this hotel can’t control but is part of the reason people book it and this relates to its location. It might just be me but the area felt a little dead from what I had experienced (esp for a Sat night) in years past. Again maybe it was just me getting older or something or an anomaly. The hotel can’t control this but just an observation.
