Dreadful hotel, no shower gel, no teas and coffees, mould in the room, thin bedding that was too short on the bed, tiny bath towels. You could hear every noise in the hotel because of thin walls. Never again. They tried to charge us €160 extra when we arrived. Lucky I had receipts showing that I had already paid taxes and only had to pay £46 on arrival.

Negatives: Terrible rooms. Tiny room , stained bedding, wall cracked in shower & peeling ceiling, thin walls everywhere so everyone hears everything! No extras in room ( no tea coffee kettle- NOTHING). Damaged furniture & walls. Seriously - book somewhere else. Money: Paid fully in advance then charged an extra €160 extra local taxes on arrival - but kind staff refunded much of it. Take proof / screenshot of what you’ve paid and what local charges are left to pay. Positives. Great location & nice helpful staff. Posh Thai restaurant at end of street (try the special starter - v nice !) . Breakfast - nothing in the hotel bar - but Puccini ‘s croissant coffee & juice €11 just past the Thai place at end of road. Nice church bells ringing every 15 mins. Overall great location, nice people, terrible hotel/ v bad rooms.

First of all, the staff were super friendly, its a budget hotel, and the location is perfect, aside from these 3 excellent points, I couldn’t rate it 3 stars which is “average”. I have to give it two stars because i was solo and the very top floor and the rain was leaking through the ceiling water into my room, there was signs of mold, the heater was useless so I was freezing throughout the night. The toilet was inside the shower room and the water pressure was very very low. I really felt like a stowaway living in a closet. I was spending the day wishing the day wouldn’t end so I have to return to this hotel. My advice is just prepare what you pay for. Bring your own bath towel, pillow, extra blankets, or fan motor for the summer.

If you are a student AVOID AT ALL COSTS

If you are a student AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! We were greeted with €119 of a charge which the man serving us couldn’t explain what for. I asked for an invoice for our charges that we never received…My boyfriend and I are both students working part time to save up for nice cheap and cheerful getaways and as if being €119 down starting our holiday wasn’t bad enough our room was desperate. Mirrors all over our room and bathroom which made us both feel extremely uncomfortable, as if we were being watched. The room was very small with limited facilities. The toilet was tiny with no place to put makeup, toiletries etc. the shower had no shower stand so if you were to take a shower you were expected to hold the shower head while showering? Our room was not serviced at all for the duration of our stay. We had to buy our own toilet paper and reuse our towels, we could not ask for more as the reception was always closed during the day. While checking out we received a very blunt exchange from presumably the owner of the “hotel” who told us we were to be checked out a half an hour ago but how we were to know that having never been informed of a check out time was beyond me? Safe to say my boyfriend and I were very disappointed with our stay and will not be returning. Again, I would like to preface I booked this hotel based on location and value for money but I was definitely not expecting such a low standard of hospitality :( was definitely a let down and an overall dampener to our otherwise lovely trip.

Terrible

Worst hotel I think I’ve ever stayed in, 2 young lads working there were okay and the woman on reception on our last day was really helpful, however the old owner and her husband were very ignorant, we got charged 120 euro “city tax” and hidden charges did not receive any invoice or itemised bill. Room was cleaned the first day in a 4 day stay and then not again, no toilet paper in the rooms bin was left full, bed wasn’t changed was just dressed, and on our last day we checked out at 11:20 and the owner said we were late as checkout was 11, however the reception was closed 90% of the time we were there. Owners are conmen and are running a bad hotel, would not recommend for anybody. Rooms are terrible and the only good thing was the other staff and pug in the hotel. Avoid this place
