Marriott reliability, swift and welcoming check-in, clean spacious rooms, and bargain rates for a MAD adjacent hotel. The hotel has 4 separate tower blocks, somewhat confusing and poorly signposted. No signposting at all from our block to the Executive Lounge, which was, however, very good, once we finally found it. But the Airport Shuttle service was totally inadequate. For a huge and busy hotel, it is not only infrequent, 30 minutes and more between departures, but it's an 18 seater minibus. Worse, there is no organised boarding process - a free-for-all mob crowded around the main entrance. We were able to grab the last 2 seats on the 08h30 because we had carry-ons only. The next departure wasn't until 09h15, and a dozen or more passengers still waiting. INSUFFICIENT FOR AN AIRPORT SHUTTLE! T4 (IB & OneWorld) is 15-20 minutes away even if the shuttle doesn't stop at the central terminals first. Taxis, especially from the airport, are inordinately expensive. The hotel can be reached by local bus, stops on Avenidas de San Pablo or de Aragón, 5 minute walks from San Fernando station on the RENFE Cercanías lines C-2 & C-7 (Guadalajara and Alcalá de Henares). Some long distance coach services also stop in front of the hotel. There is a very good steakhouse, Asador 7 de Julio, right outside the hotel rear entrance. Check in with Luis was exceptional--he was helpful, informative, personable and upgraded us to a suite on high floor with lounge access. The lounge was one of the best we have encountered in our frequent travels--large breakfast buffet huge variety along with eggs to order; friendly helpful staff and snacks and drinks all day followed by evening hors d'oeuvres and hot dishes which easily satisfied any hunger pains!!! Our suite was spacious, nicely and comfortably furnished with all the amenities one could need including robes and slippers. Checkout was quick and easy. The only issue was parking was a challenge as the entrance to the underground garage is in the rear of the hotel/convention center complex, it is huge and mazelike leaving one to guess where the hotel access is and thus where to park. Luis helped by coming down to the garage and directing me where to park for ease of access and egress. He then arranged for one of his compatriots to bring the car around to hotel entrance when we were leaving. Without a doubt he was one of the most helpful hotel staff members we have ever had the pleasure to deal with---Mucho Gracias Luis!

Very modern hotel, spacious and great conference facilities

I was here with a large group of colleagues attending a two day conference. Hotel is massive - 4 separate tower blocks, very modern, spacious with all the required amenities. Buffet breakfast and buffet lunch (provided by conference organisers on site) is superb. Easy access to the airport with regular shuttle buses going there and coming back. For those travellers who are staying there for a few days and thinking of going to Madrid city centre, the options are either to call a Uber taxi (between £20-28 per trip depending on time of the day) or using a mixture of buses and Metro. If intending to use the bus and Metro service, the hotel will provide a detailed list for which buses to go on and which Metro station to board. It costs 2 Euros for the bus trip out to Cannilejas (nearest Metro L5) and at the Metro station, one can buy a 1,3, 5 or 7 day tourist pass to move around the city. Note that the Metro card DO NOT cover the bus service to and from the hotel to Cannilejas. You will need to have some Euro coins or notes as credit card do not work on these buses. That said, the buses do come every 5 mins along the bus stop. Overall, happy to have visited Madrid and stayed in this hotel.

The Mariott hotel in Spain was sheer luxury. It was everything you want in hotel. The room was amazing, the linen clean and sparkling, the washrooms were also clean and sanitized. They provided you with a supply of coffee, tea and bottled water. The rooms, the lounges were amazing and had a great scent to it. The buffet breakfast was out of this world. They had various juices, the pastries freshly baked, omelettes made to order and various coffees, teas etc., The staff were great, very professional and I just loved it there. They also provide you with shuttle service from the airport to the hotel which is a huge perk. It's on first come first serve basis but they run all day. Thank you to all the great staff at tge Marriott you made our stay even more enjoyable with your exceptional service. We were with Costsaver.
