Spacious clean rooms right beside Covent Garden market BUT 1- Poorly trained staff = Confusing check in process. Got a text from hotel wanting me to upload photos of credit card and driver’s licence for a “no contact” check-in. After complying, was still not able to check in. Worried I had gotten scammed, I called hotel and was told that despite the text, I was not able to check in because room wasn’t cleaned yet, and that they don’t actually do a “no contact” check in because I need to leave a deposit. When I checked in later, I did not need to leave a deposit. Next confusion was getting a parking pass which they said was left for me, but never was, despite them texting me they had left it in room after I had enquired. 2- Courtyard/city view room booking turned out to be courtyard room. I had no idea it would be a tiny indoor courtyard, where all you really see is into other people’s rooms. Not what I was expecting.

Sophisticated small boutique hotel in the heart of London

This small little gem is a delightful boutique hotel right by Covent Market. It can be hard to spot, but just look for the purple awning and you're there. My room was a King room with a Murphy Bed. They have what is known as a Euro Open Concept room, where the bathroom is not concealed with walls. There are privacy curtains that can easily be pulled back. Only the toilet is in a separate room. The bathroom has a rainfall shower and a deep soaking tub which was long enough for me to stretch out and slanted so I could easily rest my head. I spent over an hour in there and didn't want to get out. Lots of outlets for electronic gadgets, including some next to the bed. Super friendly staff as well.

I love it here! My first time staying at Hotel Metro was August 2023 and I loved it so much that I made a plan to come twice a year for a little spa getaway. I went again in April 2024 and had another great visit! It’s in a very convenient location, just steps away from the covent garden market and close to shops, restaurants, venues, salons, bus stops, parks, the river etc. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room itself is lovely. I mostly come for the big spa tub and the aesthetic, and I am never disappointed!

What a GEM of a hotel. The boutique style, with huge rooms, and wonderful interior design. Little touches that made our visit perfect. And of course, even the wonderful staff seemed perfectly curated for the Metro Hotel. They were all welcoming and wonderful.

Absolutely wonderful experience. I took myself on a solo date and wanted a spot downtown, close enough to walk places. It’s a perfect location. The market is literally outside the door. The staff were wonderful and the room was beautiful. The bed was super comfortable and having a soaker tub was a bonus! I will absolutely be back.
