I try to show positvies and negatives on my review. The positives are few. Lobby and terrace restaurant staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooftop dining area is a lovely place, to have a drink or relax. The negatives are many, this hotel is extremely dated and old, you can see it and SMELL it. Room is clean but the smell is just of old woodem furniture which is sticky, the beds are extremely uncomfortable, beware if you have back issues. AC works but not that well, it had to be the most depressing room I've stayed in. I'm sure this was lovely in the 1950's, but now its just sad, and smelly.

I stayed here based on my single daughter’s experience 12 months prior. This is a basic hotel, close to the termini, close to all the main attractions in Rome, with all the services you need as a tourist. The hotel is well equipped for the price point with very comfortable beds, good basic breakfast, 24 hour reception and all the staff were friendly and helpful. I’d stay here again as it provided a convenient, fair valued stay in Rome

Clean but basic hotel, no tea in the room, design is very old fashion with pink towels and lace covered bedside tables. Beds are not comfortable. Staff were okay but not overly friendly. Breakfast and location are the only satisfactory things about this hotel. It was our fifth accommodation during this vacation and the most disappointing.

We went for a six day citytrip to Rome booked thru TUI, we had a room at the Columbia Hotel, on arrival we already got an upgrade to a bigger room, the Hotel and rooms are classical with very fine beds. The hotel is located close to the Termini railstation and situated in the hart of Rome. The lady at the reception desk has valuable tips for visiting certain places.

Stayed here for 3 night with my son. The hotel is lovely, great location near to the metro and almost all attractions are a maximum of a 15-20 minute walk. Rooms are clean and the breakfast each morning was a great start to the day. All in all really pleased we chose this hotel and would come back again.
