Great hotel and staff at Hotel Adler! I'm not just saying that because they gave me a free Toblerone and check in, either! The staff were always smiling(front desk and restaurant) and willing to help. They even set up a shuttle for us to the aiport, which saved us a lot of time and trouble with the trains and our luggage. It is a very easy walk to and from the train station, too. I had taken a day trip by myself and didn't feel unsafe walking to and from the station. The hotel is within walking distance of all the main attractions and across the river are grocery stores, if you're trying to eat on a budget. I had a single room and while small, everything was perfectly placed. The bed was comfortable(not too firm) and the bathroom was easy to maneuver. I really enjoyed the decor; it really gave a nice Swiss feel. My room was quiet, but my friends experienced some typical street noise in their room from the tapas bar outside. There is construction going on, but none of us heard that. Only semi downside is there is no fridge in the rooms, but the hotel does provide cold water and sodas in a large cooler downstairs, which more than made up for it. Breakfast was delicious, too, and definitely a plus to be able to grab some meats and cheeses before heading out. This is my go to hotel next time I have the pleasure of visiting Zurich!

Within Zürich old town and walking distance to most attractions in Zurich. Clean, compact and well-designed to make full use of every nook and cranny. Comfortable bed and pillows. Plus points: -Hotel guest privileges to skip the queue for their popular Swiss chuchi restaurant downstairs. -sweets touch of chocolate and postcard on pillow - hotel customised linen tote bag for guest to store their Swiss souvenirs (for shopping!) Minus: - more variety for breakfast would have been nice - a few flights of steps to enter hotel lobby (no direct lift) although reception was glad and insistent to help out with luggage [note: there is a lift within the hotel itself so no issues]

Lovely attention to detail. Spotless room; good quality linens, gorgeous curtains, large window in a single, but not too small room for a business stop. Will stay again. A beautiful space overall with its own history and relevance in the midst of Zurich's Old Town.

What a wonderful hotel in a beautiful area of the Old Town! The rooms were very nice and they literally provided every amenity you could possibly think of, including as many complimentary bottles of water as you needed. The hotel staff were very nice and adjacent to the hotel (and owned by the hotel) was one of the best Swiss restaurants in Zurich, which had a long line out the door every night, and which was where they served an exceptional breakfast buffet (including cappuccinos, lattes, etc.) every morning, which is included in the room rate.

lovely hotel right in the center of old town. Comfortable and clean. Small room but enough for 1 person. Walk in shower was a good size. Had safe, lots of electrical outlets. Included a good breakfast. Would stay again.
