Unbeatable location for staying in Sydney... The George St tram literally stops outside the main doors of Hilton Sydney, and you can be at Circular Quay/ Opera House or China Town/ Darling Harbour and everything in between in 2 or 3 stops. All the CBD shopping is at your doorstep, and you can very easily explore the very trendy and happening areas of Surry Hills & Kings Cross... You couldn't ask for a better location in Sydney to explore the city in full and all its iterations.. iconic tourist spots, shopping ,or more happening night life and inner city areas... Hilton Sydney is a world class hotel.... I've being staying here regularly for over 15 years - but in that time I have been fortunate enough to travel very extensively and widely.. Hilton Sydney is still one of my all time favourite hotels and a standout... Always delivers an amazing hotel stay, great rooms and suites, great service and amenities offered in all departments and by all the wonderful staff, it is all class. I think the Executive Lounge level is worth it here. The lounge is a very nice space with a good range of food and beverage options throughout the different service periods. The staff create a very welcoming and helpful atmosphere, and it is nice to have the space to sit and relax in and have refreshments or coffee etc. It was lovely to see Juliana working in the lounge again too, as she is so friendly and welcoming : ) Executive level rooms are on higher floors with nice cityscape views also. The suites at this hotel are really spacious and luxe, and definitely elevate your experience, creating privacy, space and a calm oasis above all the hustle of the CBD below. All the suite types come highly recommended. I also like the Deluxe Corner rooms, as they have two outlooks, are on high floors, and give you a little extra room and more privacy than the non-corner rooms. As a Diamond guest my room was upgraded from the Junior Suite booked to the City Suite at the Pitt St end which was absolutely perfect. The Digital Key arrived on the Hilton app quite early on the morning of check-in so I was able to check-in quite early also. I was very happy with the Diamond recognition and service, and also enjoyed the breakfast in the main restaurant Glass, and Vincent was once again super welcoming and helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better stay or guest experience : ) Sydney is one of my favourite cities to visit and Hilton Sydney with its prime location and great guest experience is the perfect place to stay and enjoy Sydney.

This hotel used to be my favourite whenever I went to Sydney. But my recent experience completely changed my perspective. I've been Hilton Honors member for over 10 years, and yet I felt like I was treated just like any other guests. Tried to check in early after arriving from International red-eye flight, but was given the stock standard response that check-in time is 3pm, while I could see so many guests being able to check in early. When we pointed it out, they said: oh, they're on different room. Yours is much bigger and better, so took longer to clean. When we could finally check-in at 3pm, it was the same damned room that I've stayed in many times over the years. And, compared to other hotel rooms I've stayed at in the past year, it was by far the smallest, but the nightly rate was the most expensive ($450/night!). Then, when I tried to ask for late check-out, they only gave me half hour later than normal check-out time, stating that it was because the hotel was fully booked. I'm going to be in Sydney again in a couple of weeks' time. Guess where I WON'T be staying?

Two Stays Both Wonderful

We were fortunate to stay here twice! The first time was at6 the end of January 2024, and we were very impressed. We loved the location, the room, the food, and the price was reasonable. We are Diamond so we enjoyed the lounge also. We were back at the end of our trip in late February to March 3rd. Again everything was excellent. I especially want to call out Alvin ion the concierge department and Ariyani in the Executive Lounge. I tried to write this review earlier, but it was too close my previous one. We were away from home from 1/15-3/3, and this wonderful hotel bookended our vacation. It was a treat.

Perfectly positioned, great rooms and amazing restaurant (and staff)

Wow! Such a wonderful team who ensure everything is perfect for your arrival. Massive thanks to Jess Nemcich who organized our group and was brilliant in every way. (Shoutout too, to Harkirat at reception and Merry in the Executive Lounge who were so amazing - warm and engaging.) Perfectly positioned, great rooms and amazing breakfast (and staff). Sydney Hilton has the best location. It’s directly opposite the Queen Victoria Building and on the light rail line – just a short 3 stops from Circular Quay – making it the perfect place to explore Sydney. Sydney Town Hall is a 2minute walk, Pitt St Mall is a 1minute walk and Darling Harbour a 5minute walk. And Hyde Park a 2-3minute walk. Brilliant. A wonderful welcome card in my room from GM Malcolm – recognizing my Hilton Honors status - which was a lovely touch. I was given a room on the 39th floor which had great views and ensured no city noise. Loved it - and slept 8-10hours each of my three nights. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bathroom included a bathtub and an incredible shower (complete with multiple shower heads) – and a bonus was being able to dialup the water temperature to super-hot (which I loved). The towels were white and fluffy. And some bath salts - perfect! Sydney Hilton has an executive lounge which is also excellent – lots of space to sit and relax (or take a call) – with a coffee machine, great range of tea and cold drinks. Plus, breakfast from 6:30am on weekdays and nibbles and alcoholic drinks late in the day. Definitely worth upgrading to this. The highlight of my stay was visiting the Glass Brasserie for dinner. Our group had a rockstar table directly behind the enormous wine wall - it felt so private and the staff looking after us were fabulous. Everyone loved their dishes - and I can personally recommend the kingfish sashimi which as you’d expect with crispy peanut chilli oil packed a punch - incredible! I also had the NSW Black Angus Pasture Fed Beef Fillet with bernaise sauce and snow pea salad - both outstanding. Others raved about the pork cutlet and barramundi - so you won’t be disappointed with anything on the menu. I should also flag the Glass Brasserie has an amazing buffet breakfast - great for everyday or that special occasion. The staff seating customers are excellent, fast and efficient. The breakfast buffet is excellent – catering to paleo, gluten free and with everything from cereal, pastries, yogurt, meats and plenty of hot dishes. Perfect. One of the staff during the morning breakfast was simply amazing – “best of the best” – Junisa. Junisa made eye contact, was attentive (refilling coffee, refreshing water) and working tirelessly to ensure plates were cleared and tables reset – and all with a smile and professionalism.

Excellent hotel our only disappointment was that the restaurant and wine bar were both closed on a Sunday night but fortunately the Concierge managed to find a restaurant for us as many restaurants were closed. We had tickets for an exhibition on the Monday morning so thought it would be easier to stay the night before. Check in was efficient and friendly and there is a nice coffee bar which was welcome after our journey. The location is great if you want to be in the city centre, directly opposite the QVB.
