For booking you can do it in a lot of ways, by paypal, maestro, etc. But when I arrived overthere I needed a valid creditcard to get thru the check in. As I am travelling more then 40 years and stay in International Hostels all over Europe I always was able to do the check-in without a creditcard, could use my maestro card or if needed by cash. By Generator policy it is not so. Here it is neccesary to have an expensive banking account with a creditcard. If you don't have, you can not check in even if you have your reservation done.

The Generator Hostel is in the perfect part of town walking distance from every “must see” in Copenhagen. The Rosenburg Castle and park is right behind the hostel and perfect for hanging out, watching the sunset, or explore the castle grounds. It’s near the bars, restaurants, grocery stores, and has a lively bar downstairs. They also have laundry, bag storage, and the rooms were very clean.

I looked at all the central hotels in Copenhagen - lots and lots of nice choices, but obviously, at a price. My daughter and I were in town for a surprise party for a friend and some time to just enjoy central Copenhagen. It's hard to land at a better spot, find two beds in a room and not pay some very high prices. The Generator offers this in a simple, clean room and a fun location.

Staying at "Generator" was a very good experience. The location and price point were excellent, with easy (close) access to the metro. Renting bikes for city tours was a fantastic option. The front desk staff were outstanding—friendly and helpful. However, the bedroom floors could be cleaner, as I noticed some sand and dirt. Overall, it was a great stay. I would definitely return.

Not bad hostel , there is no kitchen and no towels in rooms , there is no luggage room and for box the price is too much
