This is our very first time staying at the Fraser Suites La Harmonie since we always stay in town. We stayed at the Fraser Suites in Osaka, Japan in March and really enjoyed it so we thought we try La Harmonie here at Esplanade de la Defense. We booked the 2 bedroom suite with 1 bathroom, full kitchen (minus oven), living room, and dining table. In the master bedroom, we had 2 twin beds pushed together to make a king and the mattress was very comfortable along with the many pillows. The secondary bedroom had a queen size bed, again with a very comfortable non sagging mattress. Both rooms had lots of closet and drawer space along with a safety deposit box. Both rooms also had doors that open to allow fresh air which we really enjoyed. The kitchen has a full size fridge with freezer, microwave incorporated with a grill function but there is no oven. We would have liked to have an oven so we can bake for some of our meals and there is a dishwasher with a Nespresso coffee machine. The kitchen is very well equipped with 6 small and large plates, coffee mugs, espresso cups/plates, large toaster, colander, a few small casserole dishes, and cutlery. Almost every evening (not all), a lady would ring the doorbell at dinner time to ask if more coffee pods, sugar, tea bags are required. If you are expecting your sheets changed every day, then you will need to go to a proper hotel and not a semi self serviced establishment. The sheets are changed every 3 days but they change your towels and take out garbage, and vacuum every day if you accept or decline. it is your choice. To be honest, everyone at home would not change bed sheets every day so why would one expect to have it changed on a daily basis while on vacation. For us, every 3 days is great but every day, they will tighten and straighten out your bed linen if needed. Given the euro being so high compared to our own Canadian currency (1.50), we saved some money by cooking most breakfasts and dinners at home while eating out at lunch. In the lobby is a machine that provides filtered water as well as carbonated water for you to refill your own bottles which was brilliant so we do not need to lug back litres and litres of water from the supermarket and on the metro. On level one is a laundromat with 3 washers and 3 dryers that already has detergent preset but it just needs a “jeton” (token) from the front desk. Since we stayed 26 days, all our washing was free otherwise each token is 5 euros. There is also a little gym with one of everything so very convenient. The hotel is a 3 minute walk to Line 1 subway station at the Esplanade de la Defense station and it is a 12 mins walk to La Defense from the hotel if you do not want to take the subway. From our hotel on line 1 into Chatelet (centre of Paris), it takes 15 minutes. It is actually very convenient. On sunnier days, we actually preferred to walk to La Defense out in the open where you can see L’Arc de Triomphe, La Grande Arche, and also the Eiffel Tower. It is a beautiful short little walk. At the Grande Arche, there is also a BNP Paribas bank with many ATM machines. For all our shopping needs, we went to La Defense Au Chan because it is a huge supermarket with everything and anything…not just for groceries. They have clothing, household goods, beauty products, and etc. We usually wore our 2 backpacks and put our groceries in them and take the metro back to the hotel. At the La Defense mall, there is also a store, Normal, which is like a higher end of a dollar shop but if you need say Colgate toothpaste, it is only 1euro along with many other bargains. There are 2 separate shopping units at La Defense—les 4 Temps with all the main stores and CNIT with Monoprix and Decathlon. We really enjoyed shopping at these 2 malls whenever because the hotel is so close. For us, the Fraser Suites La Harmonie felt like our second home and the minute we are in our unit, we felt so serene, quiet, and calm, away from all the noise stimulation from Paris centre. Fraser Suites La Harmonie shines in their awesome customer service. We really felt so well looked after like a “family”. Everyone bends forwards and backwards to help and the staff are all STARS. There are a few outstanding staff members that went out of their way to always look after us and their exemplary service needs to be mentioned here: Edwin at the front desk was so patient in resolving our reservation; Francois in Security who went out of his way to help us find trustworthy transportation; Aziza, in housekeeping always did a fabulous job in keeping our unit well stocked and clean; and lastly, I do not know her name, but a taller, heavier set blonde lady in housekeeping who always ask if we needed anything whenever we saw her in the hotel. I want to thank Mr. X Lamont for an awesome job leading his team in making Fraser Suites La Harmonie such a wonderful abode for us! We appreciate Mr. Lamont’s and all his employees hard work on a daily basis. We will return to La Harmonie in 2026! We stayed four nights in a 2 bedroom suites. The location was excellent. We picked it for its close proximity to La Defense for the TS concert in Paris. The layout and space was good, but that is where it ended. The carpet was disgusting and stained. The hotel did not have AC as advertised and the rooms were HOT as the temperature in Paris was 22 degrees. We asked for fans in the bedrooms and it barely cut it. We all had unpleasant sleeps. We opened the doors to the balconies to let some air in. It helped but there were no screens so flies come in and the risk of a pigeon too. There was pigeon droppings all over the balconies. The hotel has smoking on some floors. We stayed on the 12 floor (room 1126), and there was a lingering smell of smoke. We stopped on floor 6 once and the elevator doors opened to a huge cloud of smoke. Breakfast was sufficient and the staff were very friendly and did their best considering. The worst part about this hotel beyond the heat and smoke was the lack of privacy and bathrooms. The bathroom was tired and the shower had mold in sections. For the amount we paid per night, it was shabby. Housekeeping enters the room when you have the “do not enter” sign on the door. This happened repeatedly even though we asked front desk not to have them come. One of days I was naked in the room about to have a shower and housekeeping came in despite the sign on the door. When I yelled “no, please leave” they responded “no speak English.” I had to physically go and point for them to leave the room. So violating and unprofessional. It seems they are coming in to police the electricity use. They would come in and take our room key out of the panel the controls the electricity. We had left it on the keep the fans running since there was not AC. It is advertised as a way to be environmentally friendly, but it just left us feeling violated and angry at the inconvenience. We will return to La Defense but not this hotel or brand. Bottom line, if you like comfort, privacy, and smoke free, book elsewhere.

Watch out for unbending, no-common-sense customer service and borderline dishonest behavior We were supposed to stay here to visit our family but couldn't get to France due to an industrial strike. We first called the travel agent we booked the ticket with and were told that the "hotel has a MAY NOT BE CONTACTED policy." We called the hotel twice to check on our options and we were told the first time to wait and to see if the strikes were still on and then call the next day so that the manager could help us. We got a "we're so sorry you can't make it to the hotel but we can't refund because you are now less than 24 hours in advance" even though we called the day before and were told to call back in the morning. Unreal!
