Excellent hotel - would thoroughly recommend! We stayed for 3 nights in early December, despite the cold weather there was always a warm welcome from the staff. Checkin was only available after 4pm, whilst a little later than ideal, the rooms were excellent, very clean and well equipped. The hotel is located south of the main centre of Brussels (about a 20 minute walk) near Brussels South (Midi) train station.

Left on the street for absolutely no reason!!

We booked and checked in as normal early in the day. We came back at 11pm (bags had been stored) and they told us our booking had been cancelled. Absolutely no reason. Because we were paying on departure they had obviously sold our rooms to guarantee money. With medical issues, we have been left in the street. As an experienced traveller, a have never experienced anything like it in my life. The company we booked ilex with had no explanation.

What I liked about this aparhotel: 1. excellent location: within 5 minutes to Brussels Midi Station, which is the main hub for subway, commuter, tram, bus, and Eurostar (high speed train to/from London). 2. they respected your privacy, when you put out "do not disturb" sign, they don't bother you. 3. The front desk staff were responsive during your stay. 4. The room's layout is well designed, utilize space effectively. What I did not like: Some strangers/people may still follow guests into the lobby and other areas even if secured gate system. Additional comments: 1. This hotel was not too responsive before the trip, especially when I asked for nonstandard items to be prepared. I was skeptical and was thinking it would be not be a good stay and the team would be difficult to work with. However, upon arrival, the manager, Shirley, got everything I asked for ready, the room was well cleaned. We discussed about the cleaning schedule, formed agreement, and they honored their words and executed on what's agreed upon. 2. Some online review said there are not many dining options around the hotel, which is not correct. There is a restaurant called Colorado right across the street, a convenient grocery store on the opposite side of the street with reasonable price and fresh produce/fruit, and other items. Brussels Midi Train Station also has many dining options, which is less than 5 minutes away. This hotel provides one of the best stay experiences during my long trip in Europe this time in terms of cleanliness, service, and user friendliness of the room design. If I am in Brussels again, I would consider staying in this hotel again.

This hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from Brussels Midi station, so it was the ideal place to break our train journey from UK to Hamburg in northern Germany. We arrived in pool ring rain, but Michael the concierge was very helpful and friendly, and put us right at ease. Our room was clean, and though compact it had everything we needed and more - each room has a small kitchen area with sink and hob, fridge, kettle, microwave and dishwasher. Though we didn’t use all these facilities, we were able to call at the convenience store opposite the hotel, and put a few things in the fridge for our morning cup of tea.

Stay was comfortable. Only challenge was that the air conditioner access is controlled by the front desk. If you have to change the temperature, you are at the mercy of the front desk. They do not it unless you make repeated calls. Otherwise, all good.
