Stayed in aloft Beitou in during my first visit to Taipei in February. The location is unbeatable – just a few steps away from the MRT making it very convenient for exploring the city. The hotel staff were very friendly, from the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service throughout the stay. Special shout-out to the bar manager and the staff – their friendly demeanor and recommendations made our evenings delightful. I’ve already booked our next stay in June. Can’t wait to be back!

We stayed in Aloft Taipei Beitou for 6 nights, the room was spacious for 2 people, and the mountain view was very peaceful. Even though the room was not ready when we arrived, front desk told us coming back at 2:30pm, and she personally made sure it was ready for us. Every night we came back, a gentleman always greeted us "welcome back" which was pleasant. One night the sink in the bathroom was clogged, immediately a tech staff was sent to the room and fixed it. When we checked out, we chatted with Eugene and May, both were pleasant to speak with. Felt like this is a home away from home.

A wonderful Marriott owned property. Very closed to a MRT Station, making it convenient to get to various parts of the city. Good food in the Breakfast Buffet. Excellent Service by all the staff. Special compliment to Ms. Judy in F & B, for getting a dish made for me.

Stayed here for 3 nights. I'm familiar with Aloft brand so I know what to expect, however, the location is a bit of concern as it's slightly off center from Beitou. However, it turns out I enjoyed my experience staying in this hotel. My detailed review follows: 1) Location: although it's a bit off center from beitou center, it's actually not too far to walk. The location is litreally between Beitou and Qiyan metro station and both only requires 7-10 minute walks, from either station, it's easy to get around and explore. Along the walk, you can find place to dine-in and covenience stores. There's a chop bar close to Qiyan station which I recommend (龍線家大腸麵線雞排) which serves a delicious meal with affordable price. 2) Lobby/Reception: the hotel exterior is cool with matrix that lights up during the night, it reminded me of Tetris blocks. The interior including the lobby has a nice ambient with modern and stylish furnishing. I checked in at midnight as my flight arrival was late, but the reception desk still looks surprisingly busy. Anyway, check-in process was smooth and easy. I booked a city-view room but then they upgraded me to a Guandu Plain view which is a really nice surprise as the hotel was busy (Christmas holiday season) and per-Marriott Bonvoy T&Cs, Aloft brand is excluded for room upgrades benefits. Elite members (Platinum and above) also received a daily complimentary drink vouchers which you can claim at the WXYZ bar or Re:fuel. The hotel lobby also connected with a Starbucks. 3) Room: the room has decent size at 28 sqm. The interior feels nice and modern with enough space to organize your stuff, although I'm not a fan of the closet as it's a bit cramped and the way you hang your clothes makes no sense. Great connectivity with plugs and HDMI slot on the wall near the work desk, so you can connect with your streaming devices. Lighting control is easy to understand. Bedding is comfortable enough. I have to praise the shower pressure, it's amazing. The bathroom amenities also smells nice. The Guandu Plain view is beautiful and although the main road is close, the hotel building does a decent job to block the noise from the outside. Overall, I'm satisfied enough with the room. 4) Nook Restaurant: Breakfast is served at Nook. Great and friendly staffs, they will give you a coaster to book your preferred seating in the restaurant. Mind you it can be crowded during holiday season, but I had no issue finding a table. The breakfast buffet has decent options, the quality is not that bad although I wish it could've been better. 5) Other aspects: I did not visit the gym, so I can't give much comments. All associates here done a great job, they are friendly and helpful. The housekeeping also consistent, whenever I come back to my room after around 3pm, the room is always fresh. My final verdict, if you looking for a place to stay around Beitou, look no further. You can easily spend a few days here as your base (if you don't mind with so-so breakfast quality), either to do a day trip to Tamsui district or to Beitou hot spring. If I have another chance to visit Beitou, I'd definitely looking forward to stay here again.

At the very beginning I was a little bit skeptical of it's location, and how to get around between the airport and Beitou, however, once you have reached Taipei Main Station, it's easy to get around, from 20 to 35, not a big deal. Gym and breakfast, the room itself, all good, took a few photos just to demonstrate it. Will definitely stay again.
