Quality of Food is the Worst. Even you get much better quality of food on road side at cheaper price. Behavior of owner is disgusting and unhelpful. And last not the least extremely poor condition of rooms and bathrooms. No power backup is available even though they are aware with the situation. They didn't even provide a single piece of candle. They can only provide bengali food (rice, dal and squash) P.s. they can only cook squash (vegetable). It was a nightmare experience for us. They have spoiled your puja vacation. Strongly not recommend.

First of all Lava is a very congested place nestled in the beautiful hills of Kalimpong. the access road is bad after Algarah. We stayed at this property called Yankee Resort. This is one of the worst resorts I have stayed in. There is no parking available. It is surrounded by buildings. First of all rooms have no maintenance. Starting from Cobwebs to leaking taps, you have everything. The behavior of staff is also horrible. They give you a feeling that they are doing a favor to you. Food is the only positive point. They serve decent food although options are less. This should be avoided if you have other options.

I had a fabulous stay in Yankee Resort at Lava during 24-25th June 2018. The Resort has individual rooms as well as Cottages. The cottages are situated at the behind in the resort area. The cottages are nicely made by woods primarily of Pine wood. These are spacious, well furnished and situated at cool and tranquil environment. Flower gardens are visible around it. Out of 6-7 cottages I stayed in "Dhoopi" cottage specially because of Bollywood Superstar " Mithun Chakraborty" stayed there during the shooting of the Bengali Film "Titli". It was very pleasant stay & feelings to stay in same cottage. Apart from these the Manager & staffs are nice. Foods were tasty.

Very small resort and the cottages r very congested...apart from the Kanchenjunga view, d view from the cottage is just nothing.. very uncleaned resort. Bedsheets r unclean. Bathroom was dirty. Geyser was there for show only because there is particular time to switch on the geyser and this is controlled by them. There is no pick n drop facilities from siliguri or NGP or bagdogra even they will not properly inform you the rout how to go there.! Food quality is too bad! According to me there is many good option rather than this so called resort!!!

We stayed one night and it was quiet pleasant. Room was clean and toilet was spotless. Hot water was available. Staff were attentive and courteous,. Highly recommended for budget travellers. Lava is small so everything is within walking distance.
