My wonderful 3 night stay began with superb personal service from Alexander upon check-in. The atrium in the hotel lobby is gorgeous and my room was clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the city. Hotel location is within walking distance of all the attractions. Special thanks to Raschida & Teresa for their assistance throughout my stay. Thank you Vienna Marriott!

1. The service was very poor. The room key was not set up when checking in, so I could not enter the room when I returned. The same situation happened again the next day. I informed the service staff on the first floor. The service staff said that the room key was valid to 13may, but the room key still could not be entered. I had to go downstairs twice at 12AM because the room card couldn't be used. 2. The service was very poor. I was informed that this was a birthday trip. After asking for the date via Chat, I said that hotel would provide service. In the evening, hotel said that the room service was finished??? Hotel also saying that would do something, but nothing was done until check-out. 3. The cleaning was very poor. I informed the front desk that the toilet was with hair from the previous pax . The front desk did not ask for any assistance at all. They only said that they would remind the housekeeping staff. Really a terrible stay experience.

Aircon and plumbing issues

After check in in the evening I noticed very little air was coming out of the aircon. There was sound but little air. I called the front desk and they said someone would come up. The man who sent the extra bed pressed the controls a bit and said it will be alright now. But it didn't improve. I slept badly that night. After the 2nd night I complained. No improvement. After the 3rd night I stopped by the front desk on my way out and told them that hardly any air was coming out of the aircon. She said she would send someone up. But upon my return that pm it was just as bad. I asked them to send the maintenance to my room now. A man came and held a device to the aircon and said it was cold. I said there is very little air coming out. I told him to check the filter. He refused saying "The filter is clean". I said "How do you know? Open it now". He then took out the filter which turned out to be completely covered with dust so thick it looked like cotton wool. No wonder so little air was coming out, it was blocked. He left very quickly with the filter and came back 5 minutes later with a cleaned filter. After that air started to come out properly. I was breathing bad air for 3 nights and didn't sleep well because it was so stuffy. As a result me and my family developed respiratory tract infections which ruined my stay in Vienna. I am shocked I had to be the one to tell the maintenance how to do their job and how I had to overcome the poor attitude of the staff. No one ever called me to check if the issue was resolved. In addition the shower didn't drain properly and I had to stand in a few inches of water to shower every time. When I complained they sent the same person who handles the aircon. He fiddled a bit and said it's okay now but it still didn't drain properly. As a Gold Elite member who stayed 35 nights in 2023 I am very disappointed. The air we breathe affects our health. I didn't expect this of a modern purpose built Marriott hotel.

Excellent location with great breakfast and M Club

We had a wonderful 7-night stay at Marriott Vienna. The location is excellent and the staff at M Club Ahmed and 1st floor serving breakfast Li Juan Wagner were some of the best employees Marriott can ask for. 1. B/F has a wide selection of make-to-order omelets. 2. M-club offers evening refreshments that can be a whole dinner with a changing menu of fried chicken, boiled beef, Indian and Italian food. 3. Tram line #2 and Hop on Hop off stop is in front of the main door. 4. The U3 line is a few minutes away. 5. The U1 line stop at the church square is 10 minutes away. 6. The famous shopping street is 10 minutes away as well. 7. All three palaces are either within walking distance or a short ride by bus or tram 8. The airport is 20 minutes away by Uber or the airport express train 15 minutes of walking 9. So many beautiful buildings and streets are all in the surrounding areas that surely won't be missed Indeed Vienne is on the very top list of the most beautiful cities to visit and Marriott Vienna would be your best bet for Bonvoy's elites, without a doubt.

Not enough superlatives to describe this hotel, its staff and quality. Staff are extremely gracious and accommodating from the front desk to the restaurant and house keeping. We are staying in an Executive suite with a spacious bathroom, a separate sitting area with a large screen TV and a bedroom with another large screen television. As a chronic over packer, I was delighted to see TWO closets with multiple shelves and drawers. More than enough hangers! A first. Highly recommend upgrading to the M lounge on the 8th floor that includes a beautiful view of Vienna, breakfast, an evening buffet with a substantial number of appetizers, complimentary wine and beer and soft refreshments along with comfortable seating on the adjacent portion of the roof. The historic city center and the large, public park are steps away from the front door, making this a superb, easily accessible location. Along with Paris and Florence, Vienna is a must see, must stay European destination.
