Visited quite some time back the place is awesome and filled with greenery. The food was Ok. The place is secluded and not at all crowded. Great place to unwind, relax and remove stress. The hospitality was awesome. Look forward to visit again in the near future.

We booked 2 cottages for 4 adults. While the cottages are made well, the maintenance is bad. Pipes leak, wash basin fittings hang loose, wardrobes are full of powdery stuff- wonder if they are termite infested. The worst part is the service. An order for an omelet can take an hr to be delivered. Dinner ordered at 7 30 pm was served at 10 pm. There r only 2 to 3 staff managing the entire property. We stayed for 4 nights but never once did a manager (if there is one) nor owner interact. For the first time ever in my life ( and i travel a lot) have i seen no manager or owner around to ask guests if all is well. Those 3 guys are managing all rooms and guests which leads to poor service. The menu is very very limited (its wide on paper but in reality they are able to manage barely anything from the menu) but the cooking is bland and tasteless. The portions are tooo small.....would suffice only a child. And if u r a vegetarian u r doomed. By the last day, we were looking forward to reach Ravangla to have proper food having survived on horrible parathas and tasteless cauliflower for 4 days.

We stayed there during our last trip to Borong in Mar 2020. We stayed in the "Orchid" (which is the only 4 beaded cottage). Rooms were spacious & very well organized. We spent 4 days there as we went there specially for our Birding purpose. We clicked lots of images though we have to wait till 3rd day for some great hovering shots of sunbirds...we had not spotted many species there at that time.List of the birds ( fire tailed sunbird M&F , black throated sunbird(heard the call only) ,redbilled leiothrix, striated bulbul, asian barred owlet, striated laughingthrush, green magpie, grey treepie, stripe throated yuhina, rufous vented yuhina, whiskered yuhina, blue fronted redstart M&F,minivets, barred owlet , blue whistling thrush, dark breasted rose-finch, himalayan blue tail, black throated bushtit, green-backed tit, red-tailed minla, blue winged minla, oriental turtle dove & some of common himalayan bird species like sibia, russet sparrow etc). But when we were there in back 2012 we spotted around 60 species at that time. The hotel caretaker Mr. Dhananjoy is very helpful...& has some knowledge about birds. If u are not quite familiar with birds then he is the guy who can help to spot them. Their room service was good throughout our stay ...but one funny incident i would like to share ..on our 2nd day evening we heard some calls from our room we thought it might be some owlet type , we took our camera & forwarded to the next balcony which is attached to another room ...when we stepped into the next room we found that the call are coming from 2 big size mice are fighting with each other in our room ( they were really big ...this things need to be take care as we are carrying lots of costly electronic gears & cords).I would like to suggest to the management team that they should think about an alternative electricity option (like solar power ) because most of the day time was in power power cut which causes stop the supplying of hot water & charging our gears, This thing really needs to be taken care of. Those who want to visit the local attractions these might be top on your list...Tathagata Tsal (Buddha Park) in Ravangla, Silver Falls and Barmeley Bridge (hanging suspension bridge) , Titanic view point, Ralang Monastery (New & old) , Hand made paper factory ( which is close to the hotel compound) , Hot spring Here are some awesome moments we captured during the trip.
