We had a wonderful stay. The room was lovely, clean and spacious with a park view, every member of staff was friendly and helpful and the service was flawless. We had a delicious breakfast both mornings and accessed Equinox from the hotel, which was very handy. No complaints at all and very surprised by some of the reviews below that do not match our experience at all. I’m a tea drinker and one quick phone call and a kettle was brought to the room with a selection of teas. We look forward to returning!

I do not know where to start but will give compliments where deserved. I had two rooms for almost a week on November 14, 2022 for my wife and daughter while I had a kidney transplant from my son who happens to live at 151 Tremont so your hotel is only 500 feet away and convenient. Your staff who knew the situation were extremely nice and accommodating for their stay, as my wife had been on the edge. Also your front door, parking and concierge staff were and continue to be wonderful as well as the restaurant and bar. Since I did not get to stay there and had been quarantined for 3 years prior and almost a year after I decided to take my wife there for her birthday in December 2023. My first trip in years…. I also tried to have flowers taken care of by Emily with emails, I have them, it did not work out… I ordered from Winston’s for delivery before we arrived. Unfortunately I had to have an invasive test with full sedation unexpectedly and extended our reservation to accommodate that. The card that was supposed to be with the flowers was lost, and not found.. upsetting after all my wife had been through. Also asked for room to be serviced next day while I was at hospital as I would need to rest on return. Gave info at desk when leaving in the morning, returned late morning, not done! We then decided to go in April for my birthday, again more surgery that morning on my leg, came to check in, room not ready but would be soon, but they are not obliged to deliver it until 4pm, this was around 1. I asked about another room or upgrade so I could raise my leg and rest, could be accommodated for another $250. I was not going to spend that as I felt under this situation, being 3rd time back with more to come, and the room was available and empty they would give it to me. No…… I waited till exactly 4pm and they informed me room was now ready as I stay in pain and uncomfortable in your lobby. Your front desk staff the last two stays has been cold, rude and robotic. I am sorry, but I don’t stay at the ritz to be treated this way, was unusual from other Bonvoy stays, Have over 340 nights at your hotels. Not asking for special treatment just a little more understanding. Sorry this is wordy, just getting more upset as I type this, and unfortunately will not at this point be returning to your hotel. I had also dealt with Norman while dealing with Emily.

Asked to leave because a soccer player was there???

Yesterday, I experienced poor customer service at a level that I would expect from a roadside motel rather than the Ritz Carlton brand. There was a well known soccer player staying at the hotel and we were told that the downstairs bar would open at 5, rather than the normal 4. The restaurant would be open. We went downstairs less than 5 minutes to 5 and asked where we could wait at the bar or could we sit at the end of the bar-we were not the slightest bit interested in the soccer player. The restaurant was also closed down. Why was there no alternate place to relax in the hotel for paying guests? We were told we could leave the hotel or go to our room by the manager on duty. The worst part, an employee seated us in the bar and then the manager came over to tell us to leave.

Beware... Worrying Hygiene & Cleaning Standard

We stayed for a weekend in late March and went away very disappointed with our experience. The location is great but I'm afraid nothing else met the standard Ritz Carlton strived to set. The most striking point is how hygiene & quality standards were overlooked, and how our feedback was ignored by management. To list a few: 1) The room smelled stale when we first opened the door. 2) The bed was in bad shape. Both sides of the mattress crumble, and represented a mattress which was overused over many years, structurally collapsed and neglected from maintenance. 3)The shower room walls were not cleaned properly prior to our check in - there were multiple strands of hair stuck to the wall. 4) The pump in the hair conditioner provided is stuck and couldn't be pressed. We had to unscrew it to get to the hair conditioner and found strands of hair tangled onto the pump inside the bottle which was gross and disgusting. 5) The bathtub sinkhole plug leaks and the tub would slowly drain as a result, defeating its purpose. 6) The bed sheet was not pristine. We could tell it was laundered but there are multiple small dark spots on the bedsheet. Two of the pillowcase had print stains which resembled ink transfers from a piece of paper. 7) Our bed linen was not changed during room service on the next day despite the point above. Perhaps they have a linen policy or card but this wasn't clear to us. NOTE we asked to speak to management, and Alberto (Assistant Rooms Executive) reached out to us via email. We passed the above feedback to him/her but have not heard back at all after almost a month. Definitely not going again and would reconsider our future hotel choices of Ritz Carlton.

Lovely staff. Late check out offer a nice plus. Free access to equinox a big plus. At $800+ a night there should be a coffee machine or mini bar in the room. I understand the need to make money down in the restaurant but a free cup of joe or tea in my room wouldn’t hurt.
