We couldn't have been happier with our hotel choice. We were looking for a comfortable hotel near the train station and this fit the bill and so much more. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The two different rooms we had at both ends of our trip were both very clean and modern with good amenities. We enjoyed breakfast and apertivi at the rooftop terrace. While the hotel is not near any of the major attractions, we found we could walk everywhere we wanted to go from the Borghese in one direction and the Pantheon in another in about 20 minutes. We would definitely stay there again.

The Independent Hotel is just a stone's throw along a main road from the main Rome Termini railway station, so the location is excellent for trains, buses and metro, but also for walking to lots of Rome's main attractions. The hotel staff were all lovely and, helpfully for us, spoke English. We had breakfast included, which was offered in the rooftop restaurant/bar, which offered great views over the city. We were in a Classic room, which was compact, but ideal for a city break. Bigger rooms were available. The room was clean and made up like new every day.

The terrace restaurant at the Independent Hotel in Rome was very much a highlight of our city break. The breakfast catered to all tastes and was perfectly prepared, the service from Virginia, Michelley and the rest of the team was outstanding. At reception we were upgraded to a suite, not sure why, and it was particularly comfortable and well equipped. Peter & Debra Howton.

The Independent Hotel is perfectly located within a few minutes walk of the main train and metro stations at Termini. We had a lovely modern room on the 6th floor with a balcony overlooking the Termini plaza, this gave some nice sunshine and great sunsets. Overall the hotel is modern and clean, there is one small lift so you need to be patient, you could take the stairs but there are a lot of them! The staff were polite, friendly, welcoming and helpful. We didn’t use the restaurant or bar. There’s a full mini bar with free tea, coffee and water. Overall this is a great place to stay, it’s very quiet even road facing and everything you would want to see is in walking distance or by metro. Highly recommended.

Returned to this hotel after stopping here on a previous visit to Rome. It's in a great location, literally a few minutes walk to Termini Railway Station or the Metro, so it's well located for visting the sights of Rome. We travelled with Jet 2 and were pleased to receive a complimentary upgrade from a classic to a superior room. The room was clean, comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed, in this case it was a twin bedded room, as I was travelling with my son. There's breakfast served from 7am to 10.30am on the 8th floor,with fantastic views of the domes of Rome. Breakfast was included in our room rate and offered a range of hot and cold foods, plenty of cereals and fruit, fresh coffee an tea and a range of breads which you can toast using the toaster. Plenty of choices to enable a good start to the day. The breakfast area becomes a bar and casual eatery at night and we thoroughly enjoyed a meal here, as an alternative to finding a restauarant nearby, simply because it was pouring down that particulary night, somwe decided to stay dry. We would happily stay here again if we're fortunate enought to return to Rome and can recommend to others.
