I stayed recently at the property for a few days and had a wonderful experience. The staff were very courteous and always ready to help. The location is unbeatable. Had a minor snag with the business center but they resolved quickly. The gym needs improvement, the machines are little outdated. A big shout out to the entire team, especially Imran who was always willing to go above and beyond to ensure I had a great stay.

Taj Club House at Chennai, being rated under the 5-star category (though not as a luxury hotel), the expectations are naturally high. The room is spacious, clean, and adequately designed for a comfortable stay. The staff were overall helpful and courteous. Special mention must be made of Ms. Neha, the well-communicative manager at the reception, Mr. Yousuf Khan's acceptance of the cancelation of my last leg of stay unconditionally, the welcoming Nikita and all others at the breakfast room for their prompt service, the lilting flute tunes, and Matthew of House-keeping. I must have missed a few other good names. However, there were negatives, too. I had a severe food poisoning episode after having just a glass of tea at the "Beyond Indus" restaurant, with fever, chills, and watery stools. I struggled to recover. There was a water supply stoppage in the room for over 30 minutes, followed by a flow of muddy water for 10 minutes after the supply was restored. There was a lack of coordinated work at the reception desk where the "might-is-right" rule stands for whoever barges in, not following the line/queue or the people waiting ahead. This can be easily corrected by the presence of stanchions and rope so that everyone follows the discipline of waiting in line for their turn to be called in. I did suggest this to Ms. Neha. Hopefully, the suggestion will be taken seriously in the future. Also, some smiles from the other side of the reception desk would ease the customer. Their eyes are glued to the computer monitor and there is seldom eye-to-eye contact with a smile toward the customer. So, overall a mixed bag of experiences. I hope that Taj Club House does not see this feedback as rude. Just wishing the hotel the very best in the future.
