The hotel is good in the sense that Lachen is a small town. Restaurant food is manageable and it is starting point to go various places. Beds have heating arrangement.staffs are very good. Rooms are well furnished .

Wooden rooms,all basic facilities like tea,coffea,milk powder in the room. Unfortunately such a cold weather & you tend to drink more tea/coffea in the room. But they refused to refill the tea/coffea 2nd time.TV with set top box. The best part was electronic Bed warmers. we loved it. The restaurant is full fledged with inhouse bar. The buffet spread is very good. We were surprised to find such good hospitality in a small town like Lachen. No toileteries given(toothbrush/paste etc). Small rooms. wooden walls. Can hear people walking/talking outside the room or in the next room. In all very good hotel,good location,very good hospitality,very very good food.

I stayed here for a night and the rooms are clean and cozy, bed warmers do their job well... There's hot water in the bathroom 24 hours a day and the staff is warm and responsive..Also the food is great .. and for a woman solo traveler like me ,safety was of utmost importance and it's a safe place .Overall , a very good stay in a remote place like Lachen .

We had planned a trip to Sikkim in May 2021. We had booked 2 rooms at the Summit Panghen Metok Hotel at Lachen and 2 rooms at the Summit Alpine Resort at Lapun. Total stay was 4 nights. Unfortunately we had to cancel the trip and the hotel booking. This was done well in advance and the hotel is due to refund the full booking amount as per hotel policy. Even after multiple follow ups we have not received the refund. When we call them the standard response is concerned person is not available and they will have them call back. Request all customers planning a stay at this hotel to make a judicious decision based on this experience.
