Overall Had a wonderful stay at SoMy! This is our 3rd time in Goa, & my parents 1st. Previously stayed at Apora & Baga. By far this is the best hotel with Tui that is a very good price & Great location. The staff are fab, especially Paul the manager , Amul the night manager , the two porter’s with moustaches (sorry forgot names) and Vivienne at the restaurant. The rep (Paras)was also lovely & helpful. On arrival 17 March there was drinks at reception. Kindly assisted to the rooms. My mum & dad are elderly and stayed in 311 with sofa bed. Great little apartment! Very well decorated & furnished (western standards) and much better than our previous Tui hotel at Baga! Really nice neutral tiles throughout, large rooms , fridge with water daily and great shower & Biday. Plus a walk in wardrobe. Rooms Our room opposite 314 was great too & very happy. Only downside was building works next door to hotel. This meant that either rooms, we could not go on balcony and we kept curtains shut. As did not want to look at that!! There at times some banging. We Looked into moving to a oool view but £200 extra per room for two weeks wasn’t worth it! That’s spending money for the two wks. I did eventually complain to rep & because it’s off of their Propety they’ve got no control but have us a voucher. Was menial between four of us. But still acknowledged & better than nothing. Location The grounds are lovely. Plants are beautiful, cats are so cute but so skittish. There is spa onsite I didn’t use. Great currency shop & plentiful of taxis outside. Or get reception to book one. Restaurants all around and candolim 10 min drive 300 rp I could walk to beach (very hot) good 20 min! or go to opticians 15 min walk , barbers & banks (opposite) was great. Breakfast / restaurant The breakfast is lovely egg station do a fab job! There’s fruit , potatoes etc and definitely something to eat. Only thing is we had to specially ask for orange in morning as not available. And lots of other juices we do not like. But we were looked after by Vivienne. Or captain also referrers to. Otherwise the younger staff have trouble understanding their menu or English. E.g a chicken steak sandwich was redone 3 times as staff and chef could not understand, ‘no sauce’ or grasp that it actually states ‘chicken steak’. Couldn’t grasp the menu; not mashed up sandwich filling! Miscellaneous Paul the manager helped massively booking our appt for vision hospital. Fantastic guy! So approachable & made this process a lot easier. Pool The pool area is lovely it’s a cosy feel. The pics vary slightly from Tui pics. Beds are white & turquoise loungers. And restaurant is bigger. The floor around the pool does need regular mopping & cleaning. The red dust is ingrained. The beds could do with a bit more cleaning aswell. The pool guy does his best in regard to people wearing clothing in pool etc and does quickly tell Indian guests to get off other tourists beds when they’ve got their towels on beds! Check out Upon departing the hotel to head home, we were given breakfast boxes by Amul, very thoughtful & I did not expect this. He also followed up with us hoping we had safe travels and got home. Above and beyond service! Summary Would definitely go back!! For me the two bed apartments is amazing and very adequate to my parents requirements. I couldn’t find any other hotel with these rooms. Like gold dust. Location fab & people. Plus customer service when Ning support.

We loved our stay at Somy Plaza. This was our first trip to India, and we would definitely recommend The Somy. It’s off the busiest, vibrant main road, yet remarkably completely quiet and peaceful. The staff here felt like family after 2 weeks, Vivian in the restaurant looked after us so well. Lovely traditional Indian breakfast, great pool with towels and food and drinks served all day. There’s a shop at the gate where you can exchange cash for Rupees, and a bank over the road. There are so many nearby shops and restaurants it’s difficult to recommend one as they were all good. It’s about 10-15 min stroll down to the beach where you can spend your day at the beach shacks. All in all , a fantastic holiday. Thank you to all the staff at Somy Plaza.

The hotel was the last minute choice but I loved every minute of staying here. Arrived early and got a room upgrade for free and an early chech in. The personnel is very friendly, greeted me by my first name all the time. Amul, you're the best! Breakfasts are the paradise for a veg Indian cuisine lover, dosas masala, and all the other local dishes, juices and the tea are fantastic and every day various. The location is great. There are so many variations restaurants, shops nearby and the beach is just within 10 min walk. There's a library here as well, so lazy beach days were very good. Thank you for making my 10 days of staying so welcoming and warm from the bottom of my heart 💓

Stayed here in march 24. The rooms have been done to a high standard with tea and coffee facilities. The pool is lovely and clean . We done bed and breakfast the variety was great. The staff in the restaurant are very helpful especially Vivien. The reception is very helpful especially Amul ,who would do anything to make sure your stay is enjoyable .must not forget the manager what a guy, can't fault him, his help was tremendous when one of our friends took ill. All booked for next year, if you holiday in goa give this hotel a try, you won't be disappointed

This was the second time we stayed here We stayed for 4 weeks both times all the staff are very very good here so no special mention s breakfast has a good choice of eggs, beans, chicken sausages, toast, tea, coffee, breakfast cereals and indian food Rooms are cleaned every day and our room boy this holiday was the best we have had don't know his name but I did mention him to the manager Hotel is in a good spot not far from lots of restaurants Would I go back again? 100% YES John
