If it is hot wearther in Berlin don't stay at the Scandic

The "sustainable" settings on the air conditioning in the bedrooms mean that if it is hot in Berlin - you will not get a good night's sleep. 4 of us stayed for business and all had a poor night's sleep. Reception said if it was >25c outside the air conditioning would work. If below 25c the air con does not operate even though the inside temperature is higher than 25c. Opening the window did very little. So be warned or very warmed!

Very hot in Berlin but hotel declined to switch on any air conditioning, so difficult to sleep at all. Breakfast very expensive so went to a local cafe instead.

Friendly, locaded in the center of Berlin, well organised and clean. We spent just one night (without breakfast) but it was an excellent choice.

Stayed in this hotel through a City Break Package with Easy Jet and we were really pleased with the whole experience. Checking in was very smooth and everything was well organised, even though we arrived before our check in time, thanks. We upgraded to a superior room at time of booking with Easy Jet which was located on the seventh floor and everything was very comfortable with everything you would need. We did ask for our room to be serviced once during our stay and this was completed with no problems. The fridge was very well stocked on our arrival, although it is never restocked, which was explained on check in, so no issues whatsoever. The hotel is well situated for transport links, with one station yards from the front door and plenty of shops and restaurants located nearby. We went to the bar in the hotel a few nights where the staff are excellent, especially Rishi, who made us feel very welcome and relaxed on every visit and helped us choose our cocktails which were fantastic every time, along with being very informative about places we should visit during our stay, a credit to the hotel. Couple of negatives we did find was the hot breakfast offerings were never that hot although there was always a very varied cold selection to choose between and the room could be improved with some air conditioning being installed. Check out was very quick and the staff did ask about our stay which is always very nice to hear. Would recommend and we would return to this hotel
