The behaviour of the staff. Especially the receptionist and the hotel and kitchen manager The receptionist Kranti, advised me to cancel the booking from booking.com and asked to do it directly from them. Initially she said, in 3500 + taxes she will give me breakfast and dinner for 2 adults. But later on she changed her words and called me out that I did not here it well. Their arrangement of taking the money advance is not a right thing. I asked her for the contact no of the owner, to which she said she cannot give it. The hotel manager Naveen also manages the kitchen, I went to the kitchen to call him to get some cutlery, inspire of calling for 10-12 times there was no response. He was very mild and lacked the hotel industry hospitality and manners. The amount they are charging is not worth. There is a staunch smell inside the rooms, which Kranti said, it will go away in some time. The edges of the tables and beds are sharp and not at all kids friendly. My 1 n 1/5 yr old son hurt himself many a times. The hot water was not working. Had informed them from the previous night. The receptionist said she will send the person. For half an hour she did not send. Eventually I requested the boy, he said the knob was off, "I've put it on". Even though he put the know on, the problem still persisted. They were just fooling around. We asked for Thalipeeth in the breakfast, that was not available. For evening snacks we requested for Cheese grill sandwich, the sandwich came without grill and cheese. We ate a slice, when we reminded, that its without cheese, he took it back and put cheese from top, We had already ate a slice. Still charged us for the cheese. The amount that they are charging is not worth. There are many other places which offers real good service at lesser amount. Kindly refrain from visiting this place. Request Booking. 1. As a property Ruturaj Inn is located near Varsoli beach. Its 12 minutes walkable distance from Ruturaj Inn to Varsoli Beach. 2. We had taken Deluxe Suite Rooms [ 2 ]. 3. It has a dedicated TV and Sofa room and separate bedroom with Queen size bed. 4. Washroom is quite a big with geyser for hot water. 5. We were provided with welcome kit [ toothbrush + toothpaste + shampoo + 2 soaps + hair oil sachet]. 6. Rooms are clean and tidy, with Wi-Fi Connections and LCD TV with majority of channels for leisure. 7. Towels and Bed Linnen needs cleanliness more than currently present. They do no smell foul, but they have color patches on them. 8. Food [ Lunch / Dinner ] when you order from room , approx. within 30 minutes its ready and then we can either go down in hall to have it or ask for room service. 9. Breakfast - its buffet with two options for veg and 1 option for non veg with fruit and tea/coffee/milk. Its very good in taste absolutely not oily. 10. Kids play area is nice and small... but kids up to age of 5 years can definitely enjoy it. 11. They have swimming pool area too, its quite good and clean water. 12. If you have included lunch/dinner in your reservations, there is buffet food server, otherwise you can have a-Lacarte menu. Overall, It was pleasant , quite , enjoyable , good time spent in here. We enjoyed our stay at Ruturaj Inn. The rooms are spacious (we had booked Deluxe room). The interior of the rooms is good. Furniture, fittings etc were also in good condition (these are the things that matter!) Bedsheets and linen were also clean. Staff was courteous and helpful. Swimming pool facility was nice and we enjoyed it.

Discourteous staff and terrible services. Rooms are cramped and fixtures dysfunctional. No one to attend to any complaints. No ones available at the reception for hours together . An order for tea in the morning took one hour to arrive in the room after calling ten times .

Ruturaj Inn is a clean and peaceful place to stay at. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. Staff is polite and efficient. They have very limited options for breakfast and average tasting dishes. We had ordered chicken lollipops and biryani for dinner. The lollipops were tasty and biryani was good. The rooms are cleaned daily. The Inn is approximately 12 minutes walking distance from Varsoil beach. The market area too is a walking distance from the hotel. One can even walk it up to the Alibag bus stand from here. The area is very peaceful with a very friendly elderly couple running a local store just across the street. We loved our stay at the hotel. Overall a great budget place to stay at.
