Comfortable Hotel in a Lively Part of Vancouver

I enjoyed the large and comfortable room at this hotel. We came for a few days ahead of leaving for a cruise. The hotel is centrally located and an easy walk to Granville Island. The biggest concern had nothing to do with the hotel, but there were many homeless persons nearby. They did not bother us, but it was noticeable. There were numerous clubs, restaurants and shops in the area, within a half mile radius. The staff were super helpful and eager to be of assistance. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Basic room, quite dated furniture although the beds were comfortable. Windows look out to a staircase so our room was quite dull. Unfortunately it borders on the seedy side of Vancouver with homeless and drug addicts all up and down the street. Corridor also has an extremely unpleasant odour.

We booked a package holiday for our honeymoon and this what was booked for 3 nights prior to our cruise. The room was clean but very basic and outdated, the beds are not comfy, the windows are shocking for where the hotel is based the noise is so loud! Music loud every night! On the Friday night we heard shouting, screaming, arguments, police cars and had people getting arrested right outside the hotel. This was early hours and didn't stop until at least 3.30 am. Rang reception who where not really bothered and just offered ear plugs. After hours and hours of travelling and doing long day excursions this is the last thing we needed and it made it so much harder to adjust to the time difference as didn't get hardly any sleep any of the nights. We didn't like the area even in the early evening we went for a walk the first day and felt better getting a Uber back to the hotel. Would avoid staying in this area of the city!

Do not stay here, overpriced. Drug addicts passed out up and down the street just outside the front doors. Upon check-in we learned that in addition to the high rates we now had to pay $35 to park our car in a lot that was nearly impossible to get to (unmarked and down a sketchy alley). They turned our room cards off and couldn't get back into the room. Nowhere to park our front of hotel either and no directions about a parking lot. Not impressed for what we paid to stay here

The location of the hotel is terrible. Upon check in, we were informed that the hotel is in the “entertainment district” and should we require earplugs, we could call down to the front desk. The hotel is situated beside a nightclub, and even with earplugs you can feel the bass through your pillow. There is absolutely no soundproofing. The hotel itself is fine; dated, with a set of elevators that should probably be avoided, but overall clean and comfortable. All my interactions with staff were positive. We were also given vouchers for a complimentary breakfast at the restaurant next door, although we didn’t have time to make use of them. Given its unfortunate location, I would not recommend this hotel.
