When visiting Singapore you must visit this world famous iconic hotel. The architecture is beautiful and the atmosphere is beautiful. A great place to grab a famous Singapore Sling and a meal. There are a number of inside and outside options to choose from. Great service too!!

Stayed for 5 days 4 nights, mix of business and leisure. Rooms, Food and Drinks, Hospitality at a very high level. High expectations - no disappointment. The hotel grounds are amazing, very central location and the customer service is excellent

Took me a while to find here, due to the fact I turned up at the rear of the hotel instead of the front, but there again that pretty much sums me up. After several directions, I found the famous bar. I was shown to the bar or table if I prefered straight away.. I took the bar, being on my own, I wanted to mix and chat to people. Service behind the bar was excellent, extremely friendly and quick serice. Had two slings and a cocktail. Threw my peanut shells on the floor as you do and enjoyed everything. Only reason 1 star removed was, ladly next to me asked me to pass her some coasters from where I was sitting. I did so and a waspy waitress told me off and said I had to ask for them. That would be fine if it had been for me, but I only passed them to the women next to me. Think the waitress soon realised what had happened and gave me two coasters and smiled!....Weired.

We have stayed at a lot of very nice hotels over the years but nothing could have prepared us for our stay at this iconic hotel. We were a little apprehensive that it may have felt pretentious but how wrong we were. From the moment the doorman meets you at your car and welcomes you by name you know this is a special place. Check in is so different to any other check in. It takes place in your suite with your butler and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to the ‘John Wayne’ suite which was such a privilege. Breakfast in the Tiffin room is an event as are drinks in the Long Bar and Writers Bar. Staff at the Long Bar were so helpful in reserving a table for us to allow us to skip the queues. One of the perks of being a resident. The weather was kind to us during our stay and we therefore spent a fair amount of time at the pool area. Clarence who looks after the pool bar is one of the nicest people you could wish to meet, a true gentleman. When walking around the hotel all the staff know your name, we really don’t know how they do this but it just adds to the feeling of being part of the Raffles family. Wonderful. Yes it’s expensive but this is Raffles, probably the best hotel we will ever be fortunate enough to stay in. The building is fantastic and attention to detail unparalleled but, without doubt, it’s the staff (each and everyone of them) that makes Raffles what it is. A massive ‘thank you’ to all of them. Finally one last thing to mention is the history tour which is complimentary. You learn so much about the hotel and is well worth doing. Thank you Nazir, your tour was so enjoyable. If you’re thinking of staying just do it, you won’t be disappointed.

We stayed at Raffles hotel for 2 nights for our wedding day. Every single staff treated us with warmth, and were very attentive to our needs. They surprised us with lots of gifts and were constantly checking in to make sure that we were in good hands. Thank you for making our big day extra memorable.
