I had a booking here from June 3 – June 5, through Oyo, as it is one of the top-rated Oyo hotels in Kalimpong. However, when I reached the hotel, I was denied admission, as it was said that the hotel is no longer part of Oyo. I was not supposed to know that, as neither Oyo, nor the hotel had the courtesy to inform me. I was stranded with senior citizens and kids, in spite of paying the full amount in advance. Would not advise anyone to book rooms here.

Room are welll furnished ,clean ,but size of room are small,staff are friendly & the owner is very helpfull and nice person.We stay here twice .Hotel is very close to busstand,No fooding option in this hotel.You get one Chinese restaurant in 1st floor of the hotel building ,otherwise you have to go market area for your food.

Pokhrel Lodge is very centrally situated, conveniently near to the main bazaar, and is set on the 4th floor of a small, modern, shopping complex. The rooms are basic but very clean, with a good bathroom with hot water and working shower (not always the case in some hotels!). There is TV, (and in theory, free wifi, although even when working, the download speed is atrocious, although this seems to be equally true of all landline internet access in Kalimpong, at present, and is not the fault of the hotel!) The staff are friendly and helpful, and the room rates very reasonable, with some negotiations possible. There is a good Chinese restaurant very conveniently placed down on the first floor. I enjoyed our stay and will certainly stay there again on my next visit to Kalimpong.
