Our first room was tired at best but it was clean. When the toilet overflowed the personal the desk initial response was to ask if we wanted a plunger. We were moved to another room. The sign on the room door says mo smoking room but the room smelled like stale.smoke. It was even more tired than the first. On the plus side the bed was comfortable

Bad from the get-go. Checking-in via a TV screen outside the lobby that scans your credit card and issues you a room key just to get inside. No one at the front desk. TV remote didn’t work and all buttons on the phone (front desk, housekeeping, etc) result in a busy signal. Calling on an outside line we were told that someone would be right up to fix the remote. 2 hours later, we called again, sorry the “help” is not available. 3 hours later at 11pm a phone call, do you still want us to come fix the remote? Hair dryer did not work, overall poor housekeeping.

A kiosk to check in means standing in an 8x8 entryway with other people attempting to check in. Ridiculous!!! Had to complete checkin before could even get into lobby. No idea where the actual person was located who did the checkin. Felt I was in a third world country!!!Reservation said free breakfast……there is no breakfast. Room was so so but bare bones…one light switch didn’t even work, window glass fogged up……all this zero ambiance for $160+. Outside of building was in total disrepair…..weeds and unkept landscaping. Steps crumbling. Management needs to fix this place up or close it and add another eyesore to Auburn.

Higher rating overall than it deserves IMO. This was the first place I have stayed that had a remote check in clerk outside the lobby in a kiosk. I forgot to ask where she was located geographically. One staff person would come in at 7 am and have a thermos of coffee made by around 7:15. They leave at 3:00 pm. Cleaning staff start at 9 and leave by 3 so we only saw 1 staff our entire week of stay. Lots of little things broken like the drain on the tub so we used a plastic bag to stop the water for a bath. The plug for the sink was loose and was not operable. The room smelled of cleaning stuff or some other smell our entire stay despite it not being cleaned after we checked in (we asked for that). Lots of TV channels but no guide that I could see and lots of them were infomercial and shopping channels. It was lower price and not so bad that we left early (non refundable rate). I did book it because of the high rating it has on TA. It is a deservably 2 star hotel.

Good location - 5-10 min walk to in town restaurants and bars Ample free off-street private parking Front desk staff were friendly Room was clean We were on 2nd floor near road but were not disturbed by traffic noise at all Disliked · Slightly weird room servicing process - if your Do Not Disturb is out in the small hours when they make the list of rooms to be serviced you don't go on the to-do list - this was rectified by speaking to reception and advising that we want our room serviced every day while we are out exploring. They are short staffed in cleaning as we saw the same poor lady there late at night as well as in the morning.
