Staff is awful. Bunch of men were sitting there and were drinking heavily and if was manager himself included in the scene. They eve teased me and I felt unsafe. I highly suggest suryadev hotel, palampur is not a safe place for females including little girls too.

Surya is in the center of Bir, have a good restaurant, the owners a very friendly and helpful. the ris many paragliders in Bir, so the hotel is almost always full, is a good thing to book a year early, the kicthen is tipic India, but also offer some international place.

A cozy , small (30 rooms or so) business kinda hotel became our one night scheduled stay in Palampur. Hotel is located on main business street with lotsa other hotels and restaurant around. States in suite room, which was huge, un expectedly clean , with fresh linen and towels. The manager offered a seemingly good tariff INR2800 on triple occupancy, upfront and we checked in no time. Dinner as per our order was sumptuous, sleep quality was superlative. Breakfast , ordered ala carte and nit included in room tariff was filling, tasty and appeared hygienically prepared. Overall a good place to park yourself overnight should one need to stay in Palampur.

We stayed for a night here. Though we were the only people staying in the hotel, the staff was cordial and alert. The rates were very reasonable too and the rooms were quite decent and well maintained with huge bathrooms. We had a good nights rest and left for Jwalaji next morning.

We were 3 families & got this hotel booked in advance for 3 nights. On reaching hotel, we realized that it's an average hotel with average amenities. We expressed our discomfort to the staff & they were more than willing to work towards improvement. First day stay was really a nightmare, but the improvement was dramatically visible the very next day. Rooms & cleanliness: 6/10 Staff: 9/10 Pricing: 9/10 Food: 8/10 Overall: 8/10
