Everything is tiny in the hotel. rooms has old furniture as well as really old and loud AC. My room had really bad odor, even after requesting fixing the smell. the staff promised but did nothing! really bad service.

I stayed at Hotel Max over the Memorial Day weekend. I had been wanting to stay at this hotel for a while specifically I am a fan of the 90's grunge. The hotel is pet friendly with a lower pet fee than most other hotels in Seattle. We mostly had a great experience but there are a few things that could be improved upon. First, I booked the Pets Rock Seattle Package. The website mentions that with that package the pet fee will be waived and we would get "comfortable bed for your pet and food and water dishes, we also include a signature welcome kit full of treats, a toy and a full list of local pet resources like vets, groomers, dog walkers and even pet psychics!" That's a direct quote from the Hotel Max webpage. We didn't get any of that and when we asked the staff about this, they were confused and ultimately told us they were out of everything and they could find dog treats for our pups. A real disappointment. We plan out trips around our pets and this was something fun and extra that we were looking froward to. Just disappointing for us. Second, the cleaning staff needs to clean the room properly rather than a quick tidy. There was dust on the surfaces and trash from other guests on the floor under the desk, on the side of the dresser, and near the underneath of the bed. There was also mildew in the shower which could be taken care of with a quick spray of bleach. I will say that this is a hotel problem in general and not just for this hotel. A lot of hotels that we have stay in recently, have been lacking in the housekeeping which is sad because other than that, it would have been a much better experience. Lastly, the bathroom was SOOOO small. The sink was in our laps when we sat on the toilet... Not really the hotel's fault and I wouldn't expect them to change it or anything but something to think about for sure. Not a huge deal just minor inconvenience. Now, there are good things here. The staff was nice and pleasant to deal with. The valet guys went above and beyond and even assisted with bags for our dogs when we ran out. The front desk ladies were nice to talk to . The hotel is beautiful and the music memorabilia is something to see. We stayed in the Sub Pop floor and it was awesome! The door murals, the carpet, the Nirvana records in the room! Chef's kiss! I would stay here again and I would urge the hotel to check up on the pets rock and the cleaning of the rooms, aside from those two things, this would have been a top notch stay! The hotel is great and if those things can be corrected, this hotel would be fabulous! S real gem of a hotel in Seattle! Would stay here again for sure. :)

Gorgeous hotel amazing room best pillows ever!!! Lovely hot shower and free beer between 5 and 6 whats not to love!!!!!!. Very helpful and friendly staff. Walking distance to Pike place and Space needle and mopop very good amd also Climate pledge Arena for gigs

Not very clean. But the staff were helpful and polite. Nice for a quick trip. Not a long stay. Liked the theme. Also the walls are like paper you hear everything!! So not great for families more for like solo travelers. But is very close to nightlife, main attractions! About 30 min from airport.

Came here for a weekend getaway and to celebrate our anniversary and was pretty disappointed with the experience. First off, the walls are pretty thin so you can hear everything. Second, the heater/air conditioner is is REALLY loud so not ideal for light sleepers. Third, you have to request to have your room cleaned and they do not take same day requests. Fourth, everyone at the front desk was pretty welcoming and pleasant EXCEPT for Maria. I believe we encountered her pretty much everyday during our stay and did not appreciate her attitude. Plus, the customer service received by her was well below average. It's like why work in customer service when you obviously dislike it?? When I had called prior to checking in, someone had informed me that they do offer something special for the occasion but when we checked in with her she really put a damper on the occasion.
