Old hotel charm and great location but needs bed pillows that aren't decades old

This is a lovely old hotel with a perfect location. A lot of charm with an old hotel, but the bedding left a lot to be desired in this one. The beds were hard and terribly uncomfortable, but the pillows were the worst. Completely flat and worn out. Decent sleep was impossible. Did like the location, however.

Great hotel. Excellent location to all of the top sites in old town Vienna. Hotel arranged airport transportation for us. Front desk very helpful. Close to a metro station as we took the train from Vienna to Budapest. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Vienna

This is a quiet, friendly hotel in an excellent location. Step outside and there are restaurants and shops all over the area. Yet the hotel windows blocked the noise fabulously. My room had a double bed, great seating area, and generous armoires. Spacious bathroom had a large tub/shower and great towels. Bring your own washcloth in Europe. No USB but there was free Wi-Fi. Enjoyed the lobby for comfortable seating and reading their newspapers. Opted for the daily breakfast which had plenty of selections. Hotel does not have a bar or restaurant service after 11 AM but there are plenty of options within steps of the hotel. Vienna is a marvelous, walkable city and this hotel is an excellent choice to serve as your base.

This was my second stay at the Hotel Elisabeth. While it is an older hotel, I liked the location. The staff were as pleasant and helpful as they were when I was there before Covid (2019). I had booked a larger room since there were two of us. The room was quite large; great closet area and large bathroom. The towel warmer did not work. The room did have refrigerator and desk area. While I was quite pleased with the room, my friend was not happy about the extra bed placed in room (the hotel did not charge for this extra bed as some hotels do). We did not eat breakfast at hotel; we had hone to a local Spar supermarket and purchased items for breakfast, fruit, pastries, water, etc and ate in the room.

I had such a lovely time at this hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient, the double bed room was big and so was the bathroom. And it was quiet! My room was at the back of the hotel. I could open the window to hear the bells of St Stephens but once it was closed I couldn’t hear anything so I slept very well. The location is superb. A one minute walk to the U-bahn, a 2 minute walk to St Stephen’s. Lots of lovely restaurants in laneways if you turn left coming out of the hotel. I had the hotel breakfast twice and was pleased with the variety, including Kaiserschmarrn! Such a treat. I’ll definitely be back when I’m next in Vienna.
