The hotel is small and intimate but beautiful. Great service! Helpful front desk staff and housekeeping. Delicious breakfast! Centrally located and easy to walk to most everything you’ll want to see in Rome. Small but well-appointed room with a very comfortable bed. Quiet and charming. Beautiful marble bathroom. Air conditioning that you can adjust, which is important on a hot day. I loved this hotel. I definitely will return. The staff, especially Marco, made us feel welcome.

Our second visit to Hotel Barocco, returning after our stay in 2023. Always a risk when you come back that things will have changed and not be as nice as you remember, but it fully lived up to our expectations and another fabulous stay. The staff here are just brilliant, huge thanks to Gianluca who is the best bartender bar none...great wine recommendations and amazing cocktail creations customised to our taste. Also thanks to Marco for picking up the reins in Gianluca's absence and following those drink recipes to a tee! And of course Stefano and Elizabetta for their humour, courtesy and faultless dining service, delicious food and great coffee. All the staff here are attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. We were given the same beautiful room as last year, clean, comfortable beds, everything immaculate. I would come back again in a heartbeat :)

What a gem this is! Make no mistake, there is no fitness, wellness or garden but just like Hotel 41 in Londen this place is all about service and to create a peaceful retreat in the city. It succeeds in doing that in a great manor. That will already start after booking with excellent recommendations, tips and info from the ladies who actually work at the hotel and who you will meet after arriving. Very personal as opposed to big chain hotels. It’s hard to explain the feeling you get but you feel welcome and at ease. They will arrange anything for you with the staff being the greatest asset (as it always is in hotels, employers should never forget this). Had a great ancient Rome tour with an excellent guide. Still enjoying our stay with our family of 5 and really the only thing we “miss” would be a terrace or small garden to enjoy the beautiful weather for an afternoon drink but hey, just go out and find it in the city. Great location and the most wonderful rooms as well, keep up the good work.

Lovely, quiet small-ish hotel in a great neighborhood which we found convenient to walk everywhere. Small room, nice bathroom and very clean. We stayed in the guest suites next door to the main hotel. Breakfasts were great and Stefano and all the breakfast staff ensured we had everything we needed. Marcos ( the evening bartender- not 100% sure of his name) was also very nice and offered suggestions of places to go to in Sicily, our next stop. The front desk staff were amazing, kind and incredibly helpful. My partner’s wallet was pick-pocketed the first day of our trip and the staff were helpful in trying to accommodate us.

This boutique hotel is on a street right off the vibrant Piazza Barberini with shops, restaurants, bars nearby; but very quiet room and charming atmosphere. I was very happy with the choice. Room was small, cozy with very comfortable bed and pillows. Stone walls, art and sculpture added to the charm. The breakfast menu included eggs, pancakes and every day you are given a three tier tray of cold cuts, cheeses, baked goods, waiter service very attentive. You need to make a reservation day before for your breakfast table time. Location of this hotel is excellent, walking distance to Trevi Fountain (recommend going at sunrise which we did, not very crowded!) the Spanish Steps and we walked to the Roman forums and other sights. One complaint is the shower floor is marble and think a no slip mat or such and/or grab bar would avoid the anxiety of stepping especially for seniors and legs tired from all the walking around Rome. There is no coffee in the room, recommend across the plaza Pepys Bar for cappucino, pastries.
