People often miss visiting Chittorgarh even though it's just 2 hrs away from Udaipur. An ideal place to stay in Chittorgarh is Hotel Amrit Manthan. Situated next to a petrol pump, perfect for people like me who use a self drive car. We thoroughly loved our stay at Amrit Manthan. The room size was 3 times the size of Taj Lake Palace and washroom was fitted with all modern Jaquar fittings. Room was clean and staff was very responsive. Upon check-in, we were given a list of must-visit places in Chittorgarh & this became our plan for next 2 days. On my request, the hotel staff also arranged a government certified guide, one of the best guide I ever met. The food at the hotel's restaurant is yummy. Do try 'Nargisi Kofta', it's served with 3 different gravies...this dish is unique to Amrit Manthan, you won't find it anywhere else. Their chef has worked with several big hotel chains before joining Amrit Manthan 7 years back. This truly reflects in the restaurant's preparations. We were travelling with 2 small kids, all our special food needs like baby khichdi & spice less aloo paratha were well accommodated by the in-room dining team. I requested for an extra bed for my daughter, the staff prepared the bed with a cosy pink coloured princess themed blanket. My daughter loved it.

It's a disgusting place my stay was very very bad there prices are like hilton and marriott but it is like a guest house,really never go,do not trust the images shown in any site,there is nothing like it,food also unfresh not good breakfast too...just that room service boy was really polite and generous and speedy

hotel service is bad, staff do not attend the complaints, no hot water made available in room despite several request. food is not good. lizard can be seen in rooms. do not stay at this hotel. it is situated outside the city.

No window, no glass in room,no tray at room to prepare and serve tea, shower leaking. Food average. Hospitality missing, no body helped at check out to shift luggage despite intimated at reception to check out in 10 minutes. I was shifting my luggage and everybody from hotel watched but not helped.

We spent two nights at the property during our trip across Rajasthan. Located just off the highway, the hotel was easy to find. The property is large with lawns, banquet space, plenty of parking availability and a spacious reception. Our check in was smooth, with a friendly receptionist working the paperwork and arming us with a local sightseeing itinerary. On request we were also provided with contact details of a recommended guide for the fort ( our primary tourist destination ). Room allotted was large. While the furniture and interiors were slightly dated everything was clean including the washroom. Toiletries were provided and the shower was quite decent with running warm water. Our booking included meals at the property which in hindsight was a boon for two reasons. Firstly I did not notice any eatery options near the property so a minimum 10-15 drive would have been needed to head out. Secondly and more importantly the food at the property was delicious. The in house restaurant is a vegetarian one and we are pure non-vegetarians. Having said that we found all our meals ( a - la carte) exceptionally tasty ! The staff at the restaurant were friendly and the service was excellent. Morning breakfast was a limited buffet but typical indian options like paratha etc. were available. The property is well located for sight seeing - the fort is about a 15 min drive in the morning. If you are looking to go further like the Menal temple complex, then getting in and out of the city is easy given the proximity to the highway. There is a petrol pump located just next to the property which helped us fill up for the drive forward to Khimsar. Our check out was early in the morning, but the staff woke up early to help on loading the luggage, billing and packing some fruits for the trip. Given the early morning chill in the air, the effort was indeed appreciated. From a pure Covid Norms perspective the basics are followed such as masks, social distancing just that, with a wedding party coming in, the restaurant turned slightly congested. One can circumvent this by timing the visit to the restaurant or opting for room service. We enjoyed our stay at Amrit Manthan and would recommend the property to visiting tourists, particularly families.
