Near the National Stadium for Concert Goers

It never entered my mind that I will be staying in a hotel in Geylang whose reputation to Singaporeans is the infamous red light district of this city.But stay we did immediately upon our arrival in Singapore for the sole purpose of our need for a hotel which was walking distance to the National Stadium where we watched Bruno Mars concert The rooms are small good only for two. The only advantage is its proximity to the national stadium. For concert goers I would highly recommend this hotel to avoid the hassle of getting home after a concert. It’s less than 10 minutes walk to the stadium. Our room has a good view of a soccer fieldIt offers free wifi, cold airconditioning, hot showers and daily room cleaning(which we didnt avail off during our 4 day stay). Incidentally since it’s located in Geylang notoriously the red light district of Singapore they offer short term 2 hour stays. Their rate is $30/ 2 hours.

Hotel 81 premier (Hollywood). Went for short trip with family. Reached the hotel around 9pm, then realised that My kid drop MY phone in the cab. OMG !! All the information and the expensive phone !! Due to exhaustion, We couldn't recall much of the cab or the place we boarded. Thankfully, the hotel staff, YASHINI, quickly and smartly asked for details of the trip and transport receipt. With the hotel cctv, she managed to trace the cab company. She also managed to get the car plate & cab driver contact for us. We contacted the driver immediately and managed to get the phone back 2 hrs later. Thank you much Yashini for yr assistance & excellent service. Also, Thanks to Johnny for assisting on travelling guide in Spore. Really appreciate both.

Broken aircon

Booked this hotel last minute for 1 night. Got the room at 4th floor and the aircon is broken (the temperature way too cold inside the room). Has informed to the reception and nothing much that they can do, they only gave us extra blankets without fixing the problem. Regardless the aircon problem, the room itself was clean and amenities is well equipped.

Stay during the f1 period for 1 night , room is small but i wish to complement hotel manager rayson that he is very friendly and helpful . Greet every guest with a great smile 😊. He even go extra mile to assit me to activate my sim card that i not able to activate it . Thank you

Was attending a football match at the National Stadium on 02/08/2023 and decided to book a hotel nearer to the stadium that was affordable. Tried looking into booking.com and this hotel popped up. Initially I hesitated to book knowing that it was at Geylang and nearly everyone would know what is famous in Geylang. But the reviews seemed reasonable so I booked. When I arrived, I noticed the room was nothing like in the photos of their website. And was way smaller. Our room had a queen size bed and noticed the pillow case had some stain. Toilet was ok but water was leaking from the ceiling where the door is. We just parked our bags and decided to go for lunch. As we were walking down the road, I noticed all the eyes that were staring at us and also noticed the area had a bad vibe. And later on when I read the reviews here instead of booking.com, I decided to move out from the hotel and this is when it became interesting. Met Mr Johnny the front desk staff and asked him that if I checked out early, would I be charged for both the nights as I booked the room for 2 nights for SGD300 but he told me that I would be charged for both the nights even though I moved out in one night. He showed me the policy and it clearly states that “Cancellation must be made within 2 days otherwise ONE NIGHT’s STAY will be levied as penalty”. Then why charge me for 2 nights? I don’t mind if they charge me for a night. He argued with me and told me to send an email to his manager Mr Rayson under the email address “hotel81@hotel81.com.sg” which can be found in their website as well but I got a “failure notice” stating that the email address doesn’t exist. So there goes my money. I feel so cheated and regretted booking this hotel
