Disappointing Service and Lost Items: Beware

I recently stayed at this Holiday Inn and had a very disappointing experience with their lost and found service. After checking out, I realized I had left a couple of personal items behind. I promptly called the hotel, and the first representative I spoke with confirmed that they had found my belongings. However, when I called back a few days later to arrange for their return, a different staff member informed me that they had no record of my items being found. This contradiction was incredibly frustrating. It seems either someone at the hotel kept my items, or there's a severe lack of communication and organization within their staff. This kind of poor service is unacceptable for any hotel, especially one that claims to offer a high standard of customer care. I am truly disappointed with the way this situation was handled and will not be staying at Holiday Inn again. I would advise other travelers to be cautious and ensure they don't leave anything behind, as you may not get it back

Airline booked us here after missed international flight. Hotel is spacious, well equipped, and has a good buffet breakfast. We had a big suite, very roomy, good bathroom, a bit of a view. Decor is a bit austere, but very comfortable. Simple dinner is available.

We have just returned from a weekend break in Lisbon. Every member of staff we met was helpful and welcoming. The room was a little dated but this did not impact on the cleanliness. The breakfast was well stocked and the range of pastries kept our two teenagers well fed. Though a little out of town it was so easy to order a bolt or walk to the metro that we would happily stay here again. The pool, though small, was perfect for the kids to cool off in after a long day of walking.

Our room was spacious and clean. Staff was nice and held our bags as we got there very early. It's convenient to the green and red Metro and many bus lines. The breakfast was awesome. Lots of fresh fruit, hot and cold choices, many non-dairy milks, all kinds of pastries and bread. Figs, dates and almonds! Delicious!
