One of the finest resorts in the valley one has ever stayed at . Stayed for couple of days at the resort and had the most amazing experience of my life .. ample area for children to play and explore the wilderness and also very hospitable couple who runs the property . Thank you Maj Lotus and maam for all the memorable time we could spend there ....to end it's a Home away from Home ...

Himalaya Eco Resort is an average sort of a resort at Nubra valley. 1. Location - it's situated right at the end of the cluster where all the 100-odd resorts are located at Nubra. Relatively tough to reach 2. Cottages - the cottage we stayed in at Himalaya was ok, nothing great. 3. Power - pls beware that Nubra faces frequent power cuts daily and similarly, Himalaya Eco resort too had electricity getting cut off for long hours. It has implications on hot water supply and heating 4. Heating - cottages have no heating facilities inside but arm you with plenty of quilts/blankets to get through cold nights 5. Hot water - is available for only a couple of hours in the evening and mornings 6. Food - to be honest, is nothing to write home about. Average at best 7. Water - pls beware the resort charges for all water aside from the one bottle that's placed inside the room for you. Importantly, the management doesn't caution you about this at the time of check-in. Also, they charge you 2x for each bottle of water! (We were rudely surprised when we were asked to pay Rs. 40 each for 6 bottles of water we were supplied extra, at the time of check out - think the mgt.owes it to the guests to be forewarned) 8. Entertainment - while there's a TV in each cottage, we were disappointed that the set top box didn't work smoothly. As there's only wilderness around, we felt let down

A small and beautiful resort-nice, serene place-dont expect anything fancy. All basic amenities are available. The staff is very nice and helpful. They have a small garden of their own for organic vegetables, apples and apricots. bonfire on paid basis available. Food is good. Nice clean and small rooms. Located in Hunder at the end of all homestays, tents, guest houses.

Old property. (very very internal location) No water almost whole night. Good Staff. Nice seating in garden, gazebo, Okay restaurant. >>>> No one at 5am to serve. No security, No reception, no hose keeping, no restaurant. Had to use washroom at 5 but no water. Had to dial owner at 5:15 to get some help. Which he managed by 5.30. 30 mins without water in washroom and without staff at a very cold morning is pathetic. <<<<< They give a small soap in bathroom. No shampoo, no body wash. forget dental kit etc. Limited and similar buffet menu on all days. The garden, gazebo etc is very nice. Dont forget to find Apples and peaches on trees.
