I always find it hard to choose a hotel at Miami airport due to reviews of rough areas, noisy streets and no facilities close by. Well this hotel really had it all - it was in a nice area, it wasn’t noisy and there were plenty shops and restaurants across the road. Staff were really friendly at check-in. Breakfast was typical Hampton fare - eggs, bagels, toast, waffles, coffee etc, enough for me even though it is basic. Shuttle takes a while to collect from the airport if you just miss one, and the scheduled pickup time seems to be a bit of an estimate, but we got there! Rooms are comfortable even though the aircon has a mind of its own and worked ok for an hour but then just would not do what we asked it to do all night. The temperature of the room was ok though. One of the nicer hotels at MIA.

We booked a stay here for 2 separate nights for my family of 5's flights to and from South America after flying in from New York. The hotel was selected for its proximity to the airport and it's shuttle to and from the airport. I called before our first arrival for instructions on how to find the shuttle and was told that it only runs on the hour, and which specific doors we needed to be near for pick up, along with being told that I should just call the hotel when I we got to one of the doors. When we arrived, I called the specified number only to not get an answer. I didn't get voice mail or anything. It just kept ringing. I tried repeatedly to get through over the course of 30 minutes. When we finally got through, we were told the van would be there in about 10 minutes and then described it to us. When the van arrived, it did not have room for all of the people waiting for it. We were told that the driver would return immediately upon getting to the hotel to pick the rest of us up, about 20 minutes. It turned into more like half an hour, meaning from when we got to the specified doors to when we we got to the hotel was pretty much an hour and a half. We learned our lesson for the next trip to the hotel and simply Ubered it. The shuttle to the airport did work out better, though this seemed to be due to more people staying there for cruises which requires, separately arranged shuttles. In addition, the rooms were somewhat worse for wear with poor water pressure in the bathroom sink (though the showers worked fine) and bathroom doors that had fallen out of alignment making them difficult to close. The front desk personnel were friendly, and breakfast was fine (though canned fruit cocktail rather than using fresh fruit in Florida seemed strange), and there were some convenient stores nearby for picking up forgotten items (Walgreens, CVS, etc), but it was not an inexpensive hotel, and I would not stay here again.

I Stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Airport South Blue Lagoon in Miami Kiana & Gio are the absolute best! They were both so accommodating, pleasant, helpful & informative. They get an "A" for their Customer Service. Anytime I decide to cruise again, this is my place! I'm very thankful to them.

Kiana was our host and she was wonderful a very hard working person she always answer our questions with a big smile on her face I’m definitively coming back. It was our first time in miami and the shuttle gentleman (Cuban) who brought us from the airport was very helpful as well giving us nice tips and locations we could visit. The free breakfast was great too!

Nice stay for 1 night before a cruise. Quick taxi ride from airport. Did not end up using their shuttle to the port. We took the easy way. Taxi. Our room was clean and quiet. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Pool was lovely although in the shade in the afternoon. Breakfast was usual Hampton breakfast
