We smelled dog when we got to the room and were surprised because we were on the 3rd floor. We later saw people with dogs. We always thought they were kept on the 1st floor. Our granddaughter found dog fur on the sofa. It smells awful in the back entrance. The TV keeps loosing signal. We went out and left the notice on the door that we were sleeping. We didn't want housekeeping to come in because we were leaving the the morning. I had a $20 bill on the counter for housekeeping the next day. They took the money and some of the empty water bottles. We have stayed here many times over the years and we will not come back here!

What a filthy dump. I have never walked into a hotel and had the smell of garbage hit me right in the face. The bathroom was absolutely filthy and had loads of mold all around the bathroom tub. The sheets smelled like ass and cigarettes. I could not let my family stay there. We went down to the front desk and were greeted by the manager, who has an absolutely, horrible attitude. She should’ve been fired years ago and went into the zoo.

We stayed here on March 16-17, 2024. The room we had was a two room suite. The check in process was ok. The clerk chose to verify/question all the information that was on my Hilton profile and included on the reservation. The room appeared to be clean. The issues with the room were not noticed until late at night. (1). The adjustable shower head only had one setting and the cover fell off. (2) There were only TWO hangers in the entire room. The extra pillows I requested were there however they did not have pillow cases. (3) The door to the bedroom was not able to be closed. The upper hinge seemed to be bent. I wonder how long that issue was reported and deferred ? In the morning the breakfast area was a disaster. The hot food was empty. the only attendant said she was cooking more. The tables were dirty. No one was cleaning. Finally more hot food was available. A few more sausages and later scrambled eggs. Many people were waiting for food so what was put out was consumed quickly. I made a list of the room issues and the breakfast issues. I gave them to the friendly morning front desk agent and requested that the General Manager call me. I claimed the Hampton Inn satisfaction guarantee. I requested a refund with my willingness to compromise for at least get 50% credit. I got the name of the GM. Her name was ASHVI. On March 29, after not receiving a call as requested, I called the hotel. I was placed on hold for a few minutes. Then the phone was picked up and put down on something soft. No one spoke to me. After a few minutes of this, I hung up and called back. Immediately the same thing happened. ( no one could say she hung up because that did not happen.) During our stay I made conversation with a variety of workers at this hotel. ALL of them stated that the GM needed to get her act together. The common opinions were that the GM did not care. That was evident to me as she did not have the courtesy to call me regarding the issues. To my knowledge there is not anyone up the Hilton chain to deal with issues as the hotels are independently owned and operated. Any issues are just directed back to the hotel. I will say that all the other employees I met were very pleasant and seemed to care. This hotel was the last stop on our one month vacation. We stayed in competitor hotels that were outstanding. We stayed most of the month at non Hilton resorts. Prior to Covid, We stayed at Hilton properties frequently. Will we spend our money at a property that does not value the customer ? NO WAY. Find another property in the area. There is a competitor property down the road that is outstanding.

We stayed at 7 different Hampton Inns in the last month and we received the best reception service at the Hampton Inn Middletown, NY on Feb 1, 2024. Veronica should used as a trainer or mentor to all receptionists. She knows how to welcome clients and treats honor members very well. She answers all questions and ensures the clients are happy. This is a very nice hotel, comfortable room and great breakfast,.
