This is the worst place I’ve been and I went to many hostels before, cheaper than that with better service. First, if you have big suitcase, avoid. There’s no lift and no one will help you to go up with the 3 flights of stairs. Second, please note that the shower room and toilets are in the exact same place so if someone take a shower, the toilet will be soaking wet. The floor there was dirty, with people’s hair all around the place. Honestly I felt disgusted to put my feet in that shower. Last but not least, let me tell you about the room : absolutely dirty, full of dust and the worst, some insects were crawling to my bed. I had to go to reception at the middle of the night to complain as I couldn’t sleep. The lady came to my room with insect repellent and sprayed it in some areas. In that occasion I showed her how the room was dirty and dusty. The next morning, I went to checkout and saw the manager (with who I also did the check-in the day before). I’ve asked if it was possible to get some help with my luggage and he refused extremely rudely, saying “this is a backpacker hostel, no one should bring suitcases here. You wanted to bring it upstairs, now that’s your problem so deal with it”. I was so shocked by this response and mostly by his tone that I tried to speak with him. I asked why he’s so rude, he could have just refused and that’s it. I’ve also mentioned about the insects in my bed, as he’s the manager so maybe he could do something about it. And now please, sit down because I couldn’t believe what he answered : “ Me, I don’t like people like you, from your country. You’re so demanding, you think this is a 5-star hotel? It’s not, so I don’t really feel to continue this conversation with you, nor listen to you. Next time, book a 5-star”. Excuse me, what?!? People from my country? I’ve asked what did he mean but he didn’t answer. Noting that I’m French and dark-skinned so I took that directly as discrimination. And am I demanding? The only thing I’ve asked for is cleanliness and to not have to deal with insects in my bed, which is (I think) the standard for every hostels and hotels. I mean, I was not asking much. But it seems that for this person, hostel is synonym of dirty place, I don’t know… Noting that during my stay, I haven’t seen even one housekeeper around to clean at least the shower room and toilets… I never wrote bad reviews on hostels, as it’s usually more or less acceptable and staff is respectful. But this time I had to warn all the people that want to book this hostel. If you have any other options for your stay in Singapore, surely it will be better than this one. You don’t have to deal with rude people at reception. Also, what this “manager” didn’t know about me is that I’m a content creator with more than 1 M followers on IG, and 2.6 M on Tiktok. This hostel booking was part of a challenge for a content, I can afford a 5 stars hotel in Singapore. I’ll definitely take that further on social media and put this “wonderful” hostel and manager on the spot. It’s 2024 and we shouldn’t tolerate discriminatory speech and lack of respect anymore. This rude individual doesn’t deserve your support and money, so please avoid at all costs.

Stayed for one night and enjoyed my stay. I don't normally stay in hostels but wanted to stay here for the experience and it certainly was. The staff were great on check in and check out. The pod itself was fine, bed was comfy enough and there were 2 pillows in the pod. They provide a towel. Shared bathroom. Good location. Not sure I'd want to stay much longer but as I said it was good especially for the price and location!

Very disappointed, aggressive welcome from the guy at the reception-treating guests like we're trash. A very ugly experience that I would not recommend to others. Very bad hygiene, toilet and shower are one room. We couldn't wait to leave the accommodation.

Definitely a novel experience, essentially the pods are a different way to have the capacity of bunk beds but to provide a pod/create the idea that this is your own space. The pod itself is small, so you need to store your luggage on the public rack. Bathrooms are shared and not the nicest, shower and toilet are in the same spot. You do get a locker to put your valuables, but they aren’t big enough for luggage and you don’t want to put your dirty luggage in the pod, where there is only space for the mattress. Location is good, lots of restaurants around. Quick Wi-Fi is provided by the hostel.

I had a terrible experience here. I’m only 5 ft 5, but I still found it hard to fit inside that single pod. Air Cooling was noisy AF. Bathroom was very dirty. Ugh. The space to share is too small, and there’s no locker that could fit a luggage (and you’ll have to be responsible for your own belongings, still???) Very disappointing.
