You can't beat the location. If you take the Arlanda Express in from the airport, this hotel is literally across the street from the train station. The boutique nature of Freys is super charming, and each floor has its own theme. The included breakfast is excellent and the staff were a delight, even offering to pack us a breakfast when we had to depart at the ungodly hour of 4:30AM. It was so easy to walk around the city, especially the old town, from this hotel -- the location really couldn't be better. My one tip is to ask for a room that faces away from the entrance -- the street level bar/restaurant is a popular place and get a bit noisy in the evening, especially if you're there in the summer and want to open your windows (there is no air conditioning).

This is a good example of how Tripadvisor ratings, even in aggregate, are especially useless for 4-star hotels in Europe. The location of Freys Hotel is great but there's very little value here for what you pay. The rooms are tiny, small enough that I don't see how two people could have reasonably fit in the room I stayed in. I always put the DND sign on my door since I don't ever want to be disturbed. On my second day here, housekeeping knocked and began opening my door despite the DND sign. This wasn't an instance where they saw me entering/exiting the room within the last 30 seconds and they asked nicely, she was actually about to barge into the room. When I got up and said "hey, no thank you," the woman then ran down the hallway laughing saying "HE SAID NO THANK YOU!! HEHE! HE SAID NO THANK YOU!!! HEHE!" Just totally weird and made me feel uncomfortable. The attached restaurant is pretty good for lunch/dinner, but breakfast is basic. Really hard to eat your fill. Don't be fooled with this place like I was, you'll be much better off at a name brand 3-star hotel.

Overnight stay in single room for Taylor swift. - small room, no air con but window can open. Clean and private bathroom. - free, quality breakfast buffet - central location, 2 min walk to Arlanda express for airport, and central station. - many nearby restaurants - professional staff - pricey but late minute booking and probably at surge event pricing Would stay again for short trip and no frills stay. For longer stay, much preferred At Six Hotel.
