Such a great place to stay in Brisbane

We stayed at Evolution Apartments for three nights for a family get together and booked two 1 bedroom apartments and two 2 bedroom apartments. We were very happy with each of the apartments. They had a kitchen and laundry facilities (full washer, dryer, drying rack and iron and ironing board) hire good is that! There is a Woolworths Metro store on the next corner. The building has a lovely pool and spa and bbq area and two gathering rooms - one with a billiards table (getting on and needing some repairs but still fun) and the other room is on the 36th floor with wonderful views. It also has one of the best gyms that I have seen in hotels or apartments! We have stayed there for times so far and have enjoyed each time. I would highly recommend staying here. From the apartments it is an easy walk across a pedestrian bridge outside the front door to Southbank and a flat walk to the heart of Queen Street Mall.

My wife and i recently had a weekend stay, check in was very easy and quick, 1 brm apartment , with all facilities was clean , had a view onto the city , paid parking on site , te only downfall to our room was the fact you can hear the elevators on the the other side of the bedroom wall going all night.

Reception staff super helpful and welcoming, well appointed apartments with balcony. Everything you need. The location was a bit further out of centre as I normally stay - however location would be excellent for a someone needing a base in Brisbane for the CBD..... its a few blocks away from the centre of Brisbane.

These apartments are well located, close to Roma Street Station (we arrived by train) and an easy 10-minute walk to Queen Street Mall and Treasury Casino. The entrance to Kurilpa (pedestrian) Bridge to Southbank is literally across the road. There’s a Woolworths Metro at the end of the street and cafes within easy reach. Our one-bedroom apartment was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. It wasn’t clear to us, through the booking and checking-in process, that these were unserviced apartments, but that seemed to be the gist of what the housekeeping staff with limited English were telling us. However, they did provide clean towels upon request. Our main criticism lies with the elevators - only two to service the whole building, resulting in frequent long waits. We would stay again, just not on a weekend (too expensive).

We have stayed with Evolution numerous times in the past, but on my last experience it will be the last. The room was disgustingly dirty, from a condom wrapper under the bed, mould on the shower screen, dust on the bedside tables and brown marks on the walls. The front door lock only worked when I slammed the door and there was discarded furniture in the hallway outside my room. Front of house couldn’t care less, no one asked how it was or if we enjoyed ourselves. Very disappointed in my stay,
