A gem in the heart of Lisbon!

We arrived at 10am and the room was not ready as to be expected. The lady behind reception was incredibly friendly and took our bags. When we eventually checked in, we were shocked and surprised to have been given a lovely upgrade to our room decorated with rose petals and a bottle of Prosecco. Fabulous touch. The room itself was incredibly comfortable and ladies, it came with a proper hairdryer! The hotel is in the perfect location, surrounded by bars and restaurants and short walks to a lot of attractions. The hotel bar area was slow for service and a couple of times we ended up just leaving to go elsewhere for drinks and breakfast on another occasion. If we return to Lisbon, we would most definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others

Lovely boutique hotel in a great location

This is a lovely hotel in a great location - right in the heart of Lisbon and easy to walk to so many of the best the city has to offer. The staff on reception were very friendly and exceptionally helpful - for example, recommending a fab restaurant nearby to eat in while we waited to access our rooms, booking taxis, getting our shower fixed v quickly etc. The rooms are very comfortable and we had a balcony with great views. Bathroom was a little tired looking but fully functional. Nice touches with a proper fridge, bottle of fizz, Bluetooth speaker - there was even a washing machine (although we didn’t use it). Why four stars rather than five? The food and drinks service lets this hotel down. It’s very slow, with grumpy staff (contrasting with the lovely reception staff) and the food is not all that. We had a breakfast that came with inedible toast and chips that had obviously been reheated from the day before. If they sort this out then def five stars!

A perfect stay in Lisbon

Getting to the hotel from the airport was simple using the Metro, there is a stop less than a 100 meters away. We were greeted by a lovely receptionist called Claudia. We arrived at approximately 2.30 but our room was ready and we received an upgrade. I think it was the best laid out hotel room I have stayed in. As you enter there is a small kitchenette with coffee maker, kettle, fridge and washing machine! The main area had a huge bed , desk , a small table with 2 chairs and 3 ceiling to floor windows which could be opened onto small wrought iron balconies. There was a small wardrobe with interior lighting and a large bathroom with a marble shower and vanity. It was all immaculate with excellent styling. The staff at reception and bar were professional and friendly, they make excellent cocktails. The location of the hotel is so central that it was very easy to walk, get a tram or bus anywhere. Surrounded by cafes and shops. Our flight home was very early and reception organised a car and driver. This hotel made our trip to Lisbon extra special.

The perfect hotel for a city break! We couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. From the minute we walked in to when we left, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. The room was spacious and impeccably clean with everything you could need. The hotel feels modern and light and is in the perfect location. We would definitely book again!

The hotel was so welcoming. The receptionists and staff were all charming and friendly. Special mention to Beatrix who couldn’t have tried harder to make us feel welcome; nothing too much trouble (phone charging/maps printed and annotated/restaurant reservations made/umbrellas lent) The room was very clean and well appointed. When we return to Lisbon, we will return to Brown’s Boutique Hotel on Rua Vitoria.
