Let me start by saying the Bank hotel is in an excellent location in Stockholm being within walking distance (or short tram ride) of many of the cities Top attractions and shops. BUT like a previous reviewer says its attention to detail and customer service is lacking. It markets itself as a “Luxury small hotel” and isn’t cheap, we had the smallest room which was around £350 per night. It was badly laid out and Very very small (makes a Premier Inn room look palatial by comparison). There’s only a double bed (no king size). Mini bar crammed into wardrobe along with safe, ironing board, and kettle. No coffee machine (although says there is) had to put kettle in bathroom when using. Little hanging space in wardrobe and NO draws for undies socks etc No air conditioning only a fan that cannot be turned off, so blows cold air onto your face all night. Light inside wardrobe cannot be turned off. TV didn’t work for 2 nights Room missed cleaning on one day and milk etc not topped up in fridge unless asked for. Windows wouldn’t open as painted over hinges, had to get member of staff to open them. Safe wouldn’t open after we closed it ,had to get maintenance to open it. Staff on the whole were pleasant (especially the restaurant manager at breakfast who was very friendly) but reception staff seemed to be unsure of how to handle queries/problems. Reading the previous review the gentleman had the best room in the hotel and experienced some of the things we experienced with the cheapest. Loved Stockholm would return but not to the Bank hotel I’m sure there are better hotels at better prices available

This is one of the best hotels in which we've ever stayed. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about it. Helpful and courteous staff, very clean andcomfortable rooms with actual comfortable reading chairs, good lighting, nice linens, good sized bathrooms, mini fridge, lock box, cool enough with the quasi-AC system. Very nice bartenders with good selection of wines. Nice restaurant with good food and service. Good location, easy walking distance to the sights, a block from the harbor. Very very quiet rooms.

Very happy we decided to make our stay here for the Stockholm leg of our Scandinavian trip. Throughout check in and breakfast visits, the staff was kind and friendly. The room itself was a bit on the smaller side however very nice touches were made to ensure you and your stuff aren't crammed in. We especially loved the nice touches durning turndown service. Breakfast was amazing and the rooftop and lobby bars are must visits.

First of all, it has to be said that Bank Hotel is a very nice hotel in a nice location. You have to hand it to the people behind the concept - it's a good hotel. It even has the potential to be a very good hotel….if it weren't for the recurring problems. We have stayed at the bank Hotel several times in the last few months. On our first visit we booked a suite in which the TV failed. Now you can say that you can do without a TV, but it is important that everything in the room works. As the problem could not be solved even after repeated requests and assurances (the staff are not very truthful), we were offered a larger suite. That was generous, except that none of the staff are aware that you can't sleep in the large Suite when the bar is open directly above. You can get chairs being moved, people walking and the bass of the music booming. And we're talking about one of the largest and most expensive rooms in the hotel. Well well we thought, the visit was messed up, but they tried to limit the damage. During our current stay altough, we arrived and - surprise surprise - the TVs in both rooms we had booked were not working. We were told that the TV in the entire house was out of order and would be repaired the very next morning. When we realized the next day in the evening that the TV was still not working, they sent a technician who explained to us that he had not been informed that the entire system had failed and that someone would only be able to repair the damage the next day. So we had been lied to again, which we should be used to by now...? Well, TV or no TV...the primary purpose of a hotel is that you can sleep in peace and quiet. However, the Bank Hotel failed to inform us that there was a building site right next door and that the workers had started very loud building work at 6:30 am during our current stay. We asked for another room, but they couldn't offer us one that was further away from the source of the noise. However, we were assured that we would be able to sleep peacefully for the next few nights, as they had spoken to the construction company and that construction work would not start before 9am in the future. If only it had turned out that way. The next morning, we woke up again at 6:30 am to the sound of hammering and jackhammers. When I complained about this, they replied that they had spoken to the building site manager and he apologized for the inconvenience. What is the added value of such a statement... We are traveling with children and now we were offered a solution for a peaceful night's sleep for the last night. Namely, the parents sleep on the 8th floor and our small children on the 2nd floor. Again, I wonder about the quality of the thinking that went into this solution. How is that supposed to work with small children? We didn't book connecting rooms for nothing. And as if that wasn't enough, we got to our room at 4pm and found that it hadn't been cleaned yet. The cleaning then had to be canceled because we couldn't expect our children to wait in the hallway after a long day out until the room was ready. And to be honest, I wouldn't have wanted that either. The minibar was not restocked either during the complete stay. All in all, I have to give the service at the Bank Hotel a poor rating. A planned relaxing stay is guaranteed to be peppered with little or big things that really spoil your stay. What a pity. I would definitely not recommend it at this point. As a guest who has repeatedly booked stays at the Bank Hotel, I would advise those who value good service not to stay here.

We recently spent eight days in Stockholm - our fifth trip to the city, but our first stay at the Bank Hotel. It was wonderful in many ways, but what truly set it apart was the amazing staff, not only at the front desk, but also at Bonnies and at the rooftop bar, Le Hibou. A special thanks to Patrick at Bonnies, who saw to our every need each morning at breakfast, and also to Ouisal at reception, who assisted us in so many ways. We can't wait to return.
