Much improved facilities and service. After staying here in the past with questionable service(my TV didn't work and they made no effort to fix it) I found my stay here this time quite enjoyable. In the past the place might have had a reputation for seediness, that is certainly not as prevalent if that is what your looking for. So I guess there is a trade off there. In the end the changes are probably for the best and I would say that the price and location are unmatched. It's nice to feel comfortable having guests and that is def something I appreciate while staying there. Nothing worse than a judgmental desk staff giving you the stink eye every time you come get someone from the front or leave late at night. Overall the place is much cleaner and run much with a more Positive energy. Would recommend to anyone as an affordable and fun option while in berlin.

So welcoming room cleaned everyday felt so at ease first time stopping in a place where I just feel normal love this place will be back next time in berlin thank you so much. Little shop next door was great also if you want to drink in ya room before going on an adventure for cheaper than the mini bar lol.

It was overall very pleasent stay. I stayed for 11 nights, came for work and pleasure Cleanning wasn't even 2 stars. I don't think the cleanning crew even uses vaccum and it triggered my alergies Overall hotel is very good, If I had stayed for only 3 nights as typical there I wouldn't find it to be a dirty one Also - staff isn't very welcoming and good mannered for my taste, though Sebastian is a very good receptionist. I would be back, maybe, but I'd book different rooms for a long stay to make sure room gets vaccumed at the least

Really great hotel in the centre of the Gay Area. Hetro Friendly. Staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Check is at 3pm but they are happy to accept your luggage so you can start your holiday. Rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast was enough to feed an army. If you get the change have a massage with Andre. Thanks for an amazing stay. Good luck with your future.

Fun and friendly hotel that's on the way back up. Axel Berlin has really cleaned up it's act. Our room was spotlessly clean, great service, friendly front desk. The roof top gym has been expanded with new equipment and their famous rooftop jacuzzi is great. Breakfast was delicious.
