Short, Quick Stay In Nature From Delhi

Travelling from cold Narkanda on way to Delhi, our ad hoc large family stop over at Nature's Treat, Dagshai in Solan, near Shimla, was an absolute delight. Set on forest land, the superb view of the mountains from the rooms and the quiet environs mandated an extension of stay by a day. Nature's Treat, is situated on land leased from the Forest Department and run by two capable lads, Sunny and Aashu. It has various adventure activities for the children, including rope walking, climbing, barrel crawl, besides archery for the adults, which were properly supervised. There are large open areas for play. It also offers simple treks on the hillocks around the property. A beautiful sunrise and sunset are both visible from the property. The rooms are basic and simple, but clean. The open wooden deck / balcony from the rooms is the star attraction, where you can lounge in nature and wake up to the joyful sound of sparrows and birds in the morning. The food was great , the staff courteous and the service exemplary. Around Nature's Treat, within a short drive is the small hamlet town of Dagshai, with its historic jail and its probably unquiet cemetery. Small parts of the road from Nature's Treat to Dagshai town are under construction but traffic is well-managed. There are two geese to welcome you to the property, that mandates climbing about 15 rough hewn tyre steps to the property. May not be suitable for the disabled.
